  • i have the wifi version, i just cant get it to connect to my mijia app…. i have many other xiaomi product (tons of lights) all work fine but this one.. i am use the one i using is wifi version coz i have another one which is the same as op's post, requires a gateway…which i dont have.

Has anyone managed to use these successfully to extend their zigbee network further from the gateway? I'm trying to workout whether to buy another of these or an extra gateway so that I can monitor temperatures, door/window switches etc at both ends of my house.

I tried but unsuccess so bought another gateway and used it as a nightlight.

      • Can you gateway as a nightlight without a motion sensor so that it turns on/off automatically?

        • +1

yes sure, it has timer to turn on/off.
Oh I've reset all of them and setup again, this time seem like the socket act as an extension, when I disconnect it, a window sensor offline as well.

      • Thanks. Looks like I need to keep an eye out for another gateway deal

I have read reports that Xiaomi's Zigbee implementation does not actually create a mesh network.

  • I have this one. when it plug into the GPO outlet, it totally block the on/off button of the GPO (A clipsal 2025). I have been only be able to use this on a unswitched outlet of a powerboard.

Stick a raise rubber feet/tac on the "on" side to keep it on when you push the xiaomi in

    • Same with me it’s very annoying but a piece of plastic jammed in there resolves the issue

  • Does this work with Philips Hue bridge?
