    Your title says that it ls the older AP version rather than the Slim version that has now replaced the AP. Other than the fact that the newer version is slim/narrow I'm not sure what else.

    However, when I look at Amazon I'm not sure whether it could be the newer Slim version.

    you probably wont see this particular model on sale any more as it is being discontinued

    Baby Bunting are doing a Houdini by saying the SLIM has RRP is 549 but they have it "ON SALE" for 349

    assuming it does go on sale for half price of 549 is still only 274.5

  How is this compared to Britax models? No one I know has these.

    I'd love to know what's its footprint is. We got the Britax Millenia and it barely fits in rearward facing. I had a Ford Focus and got a Golf station wagon thinking it would be better but it's not. The front car seat has to go almost all the way forward. I know that the Maxi Cosi Moda and the Britax Graphene have low footprints but not sure about the Vela.

      Hmm. I have a Focus. So, I think it could be good idea to get this. All my friends use Britax Mellenia

      I have a Golf Wagon and have the Britax Slimm Line and the front passenger seat is fully back with a couple of cms to spare. This model was discontinued and replaced with the Graphene which is the same depth.
