Possibly in Late-November this year. Apple does have a 10% off Macs at least once every year for the past several years.
I'd recommend getting it from JB-Hifi when the Sale Period starts.
MacBook Pro =/= deals
JB Hi-Fi has 10% off Macs very other week. Keep an eye out and if you're quick enough you can price beat at Officeworks for an extra 5% off as well.
not sure how good JB HIFI deals are. About a month ago when they had a 10% sale at JB, the sale price was still 2$ higher than regular price at officework (Macbook Pro 13).
That's probably because Officeworks tend to match prices with other retailers during sales to avoid having to price beat them by 5%.
You'll find that Officeworks often increase their prices back up once sales are finished at competitors.I thought so but then I did follow up with Officework again after JB Hifi finished their sales and it still stayed low. I suspect their prices were already low because it was close to Mac refresh time.
I'm hoping for a JB (etc) 10% sale too, but the last few have excluded the iMac Pro, so there's a possibility the newest models might get excluded too. Hope not though, there's no way I'm paying full whack - especially when it's not exactly clear if the "new" keyboard actually addresses the issues it's had so far.

No, yeah unfortunately they only do the standard configurations, not built-to-order.
