      • +3

sorry, i was just enquiring if there was a direct link to some non-facebook submission page. but it appears to be facebook dependent. i loathe facebook.

  • Hey, why not.

5react is requesting permission to do the following:

    Access my basic information
Includes name, profile picture, gender, networks, user ID, list of friends, and any other information I've shared with everyone.

    "Basic information" my arse….I'll pass

lol, all for a pack of gum!

    • +2

It only does it to create the cool animation.

    • +1

It's nothing to really stress about, it's just so it can put your photos up in the animation, once it's done go into your privacy settings and delete them again.

Sending a pack of gum in the mail? With todays barcode technology why not issue a voucher for 7-11 etc.. rather than tediously posting gum in the mail.

  • +2

what crap, really despise these facebook deals. Not everyone uses it and the people who hand over all their private info to some randoms like that have rocks in their head.

    • -1

Try making a fake facebook account?

  • +7

I did it (allowed access to my info on facebook) and the video was really trippy! Sooo clever!

  • +5

just create a facebook page for your cat/dog/fleas/daddy long legs etc and use that… no harm in sharing those "details"

    • +2

      LOL
i'll make one for my pet stone

      • +2

        Was he chosen?

        • +3

no, my pet stone moves around alot, so it would be hard to post to him

      • +1

Is his favourite music 'hard rock'?

        • +1

          Nope it's rock'n'roll
you should have known it from the clues given

          It's a stone, hence rock

          and also

my pet stone moves around alot

and how would it move—> by rolling

so hence, my pet stone likes rock'n'roll, but good try though

i made that up just then, lol

Did these same neg-voting puritans see the scandalous posts above concerning the submission of fraudulent facebook accounts?

      • +3

        lol I guess they did

      • Making a facebook using a made up name does not involve stealing from a store or breaking the law.

          Yeah, I'm taking the piss.

        • I was meaning what heathsouter said.
Make an account for your pet or something and use that for facebook promotions, that removes the need to have your own personal facebook account linked to heaps of advertising.

Setting up a facebook account with another name, finding photos to use, adding friends and the rest would be a real pain and use way more effort than it is worth to get some free gum!

      • There is nothing that stops me from having 10,000 email addresses - all with my name - and each having a facebook account - again, all with my name. I'm not being fraudulent at all: I really am who I say I am!

        • haha yeah that's true

  • +1

i did it then removed them from my accessing my fb page.. trippy vid though

  • +3

I think the require access to all your photos so they can make a video or something

  • +1

This is really cool and I love 5 gum, I bought a few packs of React from eBay and they're pretty nice, but there's a Mint React that's really grose and tastes like chewing listerine. I think berry is still the best :)

  • +3

    Well done website.

    • agreed! love the layout very modern

  • just made an account for my pet stone and deactivated it right after.

    • +4

d4mn you nubsy, my pet stone was about to make its very first friend :(

  • +9

lol it wouldnt let me make it pet stone. so i called it pat stone.

    • Any relation to 'Patsy Stone' off Absolutely Fabulous? :P Probably both have the same intelligence…

  • I am not allowing a chewing gum company to access my facebook information
(Includes name, profile picture, gender, networks, user ID, list of friends, and any other information I've shared with everyone.)

    Cheeky buggers!

  • Received it today!

    • Me too. It doesn't taste that great LOL.

  • Not as good as I thought it was going to be :\
I got this nice large box and it turns out to be just a little box of gum inside the large box :-|

Its also made in China….I won't be buying it, even through I wouldn't if it was made in Aus since it does not taste nice to me.

Lucky it was a fake Facebook lol.

  • Got mine today, taste's great, i thought it was cool how it was a tiny little pack of gum in this larger box. Great packaging, great promotion.

  • +1

I received mine today. I must say, for a freebie, the packaging is really nice. I thought it was some sort of electronic/gadget at first.

    • nice, looks cool, i should've went for it

  • +1

    got mine today :)
overkill on packaging… but my gum smells like toothpaste LOL

  • MAJOR packaging overkill!

They should have spent their budget on the testing phase, NOT the marketing phase, cause this gum tastes GROSS!

  • Tastes and smells like deep heat!

  • Hey yeah… it smells like Vicks. BTW… don't throw out the box. There is a code behind your gum. not sure what for… but it is of some use… mentioned on fb

  • received yesterday, but judging by comments above, not sure what to expect..

  • This is really gross flavoured 5 gum, I was hoping to get the other packet or react they market which is a 'tuti fruti' type flavour, I gave both packets away along with a half open packet I found in my cupboard that was about 5 months old.
