New York range isn't worth 10 bucks, right?

    • +1

They use far less sauce and more toppings

      Well worth it imo

      • +1

how they taste like? just like normal pizza with larger size?

        • The base is better imo , toppings are the same

It tastes 90% the same as dominos with less sauce and better base

        • @qwerty: Thanks, just ordered one,

        • @lklk901:
          how was it

        • I tried the new york pepperoni and I was disappointed, I was expecting "new york" style base, but it was exactly the same as the normal dominos classic base, and the toppings were not in proportion to the size of the pizza. I would steer clear of these, I'm definitely not buying again.

        • @TRANCE: I agree, got the pepperoni also….. very light on toppings and base was dry and bland… wouldn't order again.

Feels weird because you have these gigantic slabs of pizza and little crust to worth with. It's me for the novelty and if you like big things otherwise I wouldn't touch it. Also definitely less toppings and 10x messier to eat.. It's like trying to eat a kebab with no packaging.

    • Nah it sucks. I usually love those pizzas but it really sucks.

  • Thanks OP, dinner sorted.

  • what's the best flavour? Is the cheese only one any good?

    • +2

It's just your regular domino's cheese on a big pizza. Nothing special

    • +1

They're all pretty plain jane in regards to toppings. I personally like pepperoni pizza, will go for the pepperoni, sausage and mushroom probably.

      • ordered the pep saus mush tonight and I am quite disappointed. hardly any toppings.

        • Damn :( I think the amount of toppings remains the same for each pizza, but if you order something with more toppings they just give you less of each…

  • thank you mate

  • Many thanks OP, this will be my dinner for tonight.

  • Perfect for Saturday night.

  • 2 of us ate 2/3rds of one - they're pretty big :)

:S I've eaten a whole one before on my own. I felt horrible after haha.

Ate two slices and I was stuffed. It's a big pizza. Big and cheesy.

  • Mine is $9.95 too

  • Thanks OP

Saw this deal and thought "Yeah I've wanted to revisit the New Yorker since I heard comments saying it was less oily of a base than other Domino's pizzas. Ahh it's a damned shame my lady friend is coming over tonight and we're going to an expensive Nepalese restaurant"

Got into an argument with said friend before we even went out and now they've left. Looks like it's Domino's for dinner. FML. At least my wallets happy

    • +2

Maybe on some unconscious level the Ozbargainer in you started that argument so you could have cheap pizza instead of expensive Nepalese.

      • A complex socioeconomic problem right there

      • Subconscious, oops

  • I just had 5 slices of one. I feel horrible. Why do I do this.

    • It's the high fat and salt content that makes you feel like crap afterwards.

      • +1

That's a good point. The pizza seems to be really cheese heavy too which I also think was a big factor.

  • Are the milkshakes any good?

    • Thickshakes and yes they're quite good but like anything fast food it's not rare that they stuff them up. I've had ones that tasted very light on with the malt. The first couple of them I had were fan-freaking-tastic.

    • Yeah they are good. They're thickshakes. Far better than Maccas or similar milk/thickshake because it's real ice cream, not soft serve. They have a (profanity) of sugar in them though.

      • +1

Also a lot of fat, thick shakes are very unhealthy.

        • +2

          No?!

        • Really is there anything healthy about Dominos?

        • @HARSHREALITY:

          Human digestive system 101.

You can eat a meal consisting of:
          Protein & Fat or
          Protein & Carbs or
          Protein, Fat & Carbs,

BUT you CANNOT eat a meal consisting of:
          Fat & Carbs by themselves.

Your digestive system does not know how to process this, freaks out and turns in straight to body fat.

So yes, if a Domino's pizza has some protein on it, it will be healthier for you than a 100% Fat & Carbs insulin bomb thickshake.

    • They are so good. But just like their pizzas, some stores/times/staff make it better than others.

    • Ordered an espresso one using this deal, got given some sickly sweet shake, tasted like it could have been caramel but also had a bit of a chocolate taste. Too much sugar for me, was keen to try the espresso one so quite disappointing.

    • I like it. At $2.95 they are worth it.

Normal price feels a bit fancy.

  • you can only get one thickshake with that voucher. what a shame :(

    • One thickshake per order or customer? I've had multiple with that code - more than I'd like to admit to xD
