  Aldi sell a similar size French oven around June every year for half this price.

    i bought the biggest size(22cm?) from aldi as well but i found it a bit small , one pack of oxtail(5-6 pieces ,200g?) from woolies with carrots,celery and tomatos(3 each) with around 500ml of water is just enough. if i want more oxtail in one pot i have to cut back quite a bit of veggies.

    i remember that deal, from memory their oven highest temp is only 220 degrees

      Dutch ovens are designed for slow braising. I rarely use mine above 170°

      yes, i only use 150 degrees for slow cook in the oven for a few hours

    the aldi ones are crap. the enamel comes off very easily and when coming the exact same good, the le creuset ones taste way better.

  I can do a dutch oven every night at around 15 deg for free every night. The wife absolutely loves it.
