  • Isn't delivery from EB games free? i.e. $20 delivered

    • +2

It’s supposed to be based on the email and code that went out yesterday. Think it was hit or miss for some people today.

      Click and collects also free.

    • +4

      Not anymore
Would be $29 delivered at EB games

      • EB games shipping costs are based on where it comes from.
If it comes from their warehouse it’s $4 if a store has to deliver it I can be anywhere from $4 to $12.

Mainly because stores use star track express for shipping (as they collect it from the store) where as parcels sent by the warehouse are usually Australia Post.

        • My delivery was $3.50 as I forgot to coupon

    No ps4?

Gees if it was anyone else or an eBay post you'd be ripping into them for doing this. Right?

  • +2

    Cheaper at EB Games

    • +14

True, but I don't know how much longer eb games can sell ex-return, unsealed games with stickers all over it and advertise it as "new". Returned my AC:Origins on the spot today because of this and saw the disc was scuffed as well. At least Amazon sell you stuff that's actually new and Sealed. That's worth the extra 4 bucks IMO.

      • Ask for a sealed copy

        • Exactly this. I always ask for sealed otherwise I'll walk off.

        • +9

It was a click and collect, and I did ask but they said it was the last one. Eb games just have shitty practice in general in my experience, especially when they seemingly have good offers, they just find a way to leave a sour taste in your mouth. This is coming from a level 3 loyalty member.

@southaussiewithcosi: Same as CaptainNewspeak. I asked for sealed copy and was told they don't have any sealed copy left. Now, it's either take that or lose the deal.

To be fair, JB also did the same to me once.

        • @netsurfer: JB did that to me when there was the PS Plus glitch, got an unsealed version of Horizon Zero Dawn. It had no issues but I would have enjoyed tearing the plastic lol

      • My octopath traveller from amazon was not sealed. At least the game was inside. :/

        • +1

Nintendo games generally don’t have plastic wrap on them.

        • Games published by Nintendo Australia are never wrapped

      • I have bought countless games from EB and I have never gotten a game that was sold as new that was unselaed.

EB Games has free shipping, and it's not like Amazon will be shipping tonight asap. Both will arrive on the same day, save yourself $4.

    Cheaper at EB games

Some people still have the $10 prime voucher (which will expire soon). https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/388910

      • The live chat who manually added $10 to my account told me it was good for a year?

        • Nope. Expires around 27th July?

        • @cruizerdog:
My voucher from amazon lasts until August 31st.

        • @jimbobaus: how and where to find out?

        • @wtfnodeal:
It said it in the email.

        • @jimbobaus: I didn't get the email. Live chat with them said why I didn't receive the voucher they manually added to my account.

        • @wtfnodeal:
Oh ok, i got an email from them a few days after i watched a stream on Prime Video
The email said the $10 was applied to my account and that i had to use it by August 30th 2018

        • @jimbobaus: looks like you get a better deal.

"Thank you for watching Prime Video.

As part of our special promotion for Prime members, we've issued you a $10 Amazon credit for streaming with Prime Video for the first time. Although you will not see the credit in your account, the $10 will be automatically applied to your next purchase of $20 or more on eligible items. Credit must be used by 11:59pm AEST on July 27, 2018. "

There was a time when real men fought actual wars. Now they comment on here arguing about war video games…

    • +2

You know you could always join the military ;)

    • +1

There was a time when real men were sent out to die to make rich men richer and they fell for their lies, now people are more educated. But I get your point.

  • +3

i have $10 off and prime so this is only $14 for me. Better than eb for me.

    • Thanks for reminding people about the $10 voucher. Not sure why I still haven't got mine. Already streamed a video from Amazon Prime a few days ago.

      • That might be your problem. You had to watch the video stream before 17th July I believe?

      • I didn't get told I got mine. Used mine on Prime Day a few back, only found out by checking one of my alternate emails that they sent a notification to a few days prior to that, the account and website itself made no mention of it until I went to buy my thing.

        • Yep, nothing on your account that indicates you have it until you go to check out with min of $20

  • Is this going to be cheaper at EB because their website says $36 + delivery?

    • Yes, see this deal. You need to be quick tomorrow this morning. Do it soon after 8AM.

I am cheap and my shameful pile of yet to play games is tall so not planning to get this game even at $20.

      • OK, I see the light.

Enjoyed the first one but I eventually just stopped playing. It didnt seem to end…ever.

  • Also I'm upset that Amazon seem to have increased a bunch of their prices on games yesterday/today.

    • Amazon prices always fluctuate. Hence why camel camel exists :)

  • +4

Better than eb games if delivering. The negs are naive.

  • +1

At least if you buy from Amazon you’re guaranteed a brand new game, not like the “new” copy of Wolfenstein 2 I got from EB that looked like it had gone through several cycles of EB’s 7 day rental program.

  • Cost me around $12.55 delivered for Xbox version with 6‰ CR and $10 credit due to the fact they left the pro outside the building when they delivered it. Not bad at all. Still spewing I didn't get Wolfenstein II tho.

    • Cancelled and reordered with $10 credit and CR comes upto $9.46. Much better :)

  • I thought I'll never see the comment "Cheaper at EB Games" on here

  • +1

Looks like Amazon has priced matched EB Games. Xbox/PS4 is now $20. Free delivery with Prime.

    • Yep, grabbed it with my $10 credit.
