    Kahlua is just so good. Straight, it gives a warm fuzzy feeling that others don't. Great with milk too.

    Why anybody drinks other similar products I just can't fathom. I would never touch Baileys, for example, when Kahlua is available.

      Isn't Baileys and Kahlua completely different to one another though? I didn't think Kahlua was creamy.

      Kahlua and Bailey's aren't even remotely similar. A more relevant comparison would be Kahlua and Tia Maria. Both are great.

    I would also consider Tia Maria as a Kahlua substitute. Sometimes Kahlua is just too sweet and overpowering where Tia Maria also gives a nice subtle coffee kick and way less sweeter. I can also recommend Amarula if you haven't tried it, it's worth giving it a shot.

        If you're making espresso martini's, choose Tia Maria if you like a subtle tequila taste, otherwise Kahlua is your best bet. Amarula is completely different as said above it is creamy like Baileys.

          @purplelady: Out of the both coffee liqueurs it is a matter of preference depending if you are in the mood for a bold flavour what the Kahlua offers or a more gentle, sophisticated taste of the Tia Maria.
          The Amarula is a cream liqueur, something similar to Baileys.
          My mix choice is 3 parts of vodka, 1 part of Tia or Kahlua= Black Russian. Add Amarula or Baileys and you get white Russian. Gives the mix a creamer texture. I highly recommend this cocktail if you are a coffee fan :)
