You guys think optus is bad ?? Telstra is still selling the Galaxy S7 for $74pm with 3GB of data..
with android samsung tend to hold their value as one of the better ones, and is also one of the ones often used by corporates that have standard operating environments, it’s brands like LG, xiaomi, huawei that have big price drops. samsung tend to keep models for longer and so can control price drops eg they still sell the 7 if they need to sell a cheap handset.
until a new model comes out there is no need for samsung to do dramatic price drops on the 9 while it sells in a volume and price they are happy with.
it might also set an expectation for samsung buyers of “wait 6 months for price drops before buying” which samsung also doesn’t want, they want people to buy when released and wait, and slower price reductions remove the benefits of waiting before buying as you don’t save much by waiting 6 or 12mths.
we want to,pay as little as possible and they want to make as much money as possible ….i and they have worked out the price to make as much money as possible.
note 9 is coming in Aug

dilemna for me, I was just about to pull the pin on ebay $854 N950F, 2yr warrnty (not the all time greatest deal).
all in all $45 compared to $69 for additional 4GB.if you have your own phone you have more flexibility with sim only with plans , and they are changing all the time.
im on 60gb for $50 on optus when they did double data sim only, and the deals will only get better for sim only plans.
Yep this is where it's at. I got the 49 Telstra deal and have 45gb and the $200 JB voucher. Although for $10 could have got the pixel 2xl in a plan. Makes these deals seem very expensive.
This is a great deal… no ther plans/phones at the moment that can beat this !! Even with the new Note… I don’t see the price/plan coming down much more … This is the price for an IPhone 6s and galaxyS9 5.8” on Optus.. the only thing you should watch out for is the overseas calls are no longer included in the $59 plan !!
