Really Frustrated with Kogan Experience

Recently purchased a Kogan Sim card which I purchased via Kogan Gift Card.

Upon activation, I forgot to use the Sim Card Activation Code I had just purchased, and instead purchased another one by mistake (Paid with Credit Card).

I now have an extra Kogan Sim Card Service.

I want a refund for one of them but they're only refunding me back as a Gift Card. I have asked them to refund my Credit Card transaction so it can be credited back onto my credit card. But they refuse.

They don't have a phone line so it's incredible frustrating to type my response each time via email, only for them to not understand and regurgitate the same bit of info. again.

Seeking advice on what I can do?

    This is change of mind, they don't really have to refund or give youcredit at all.

    It is essentially a change of mind refund, so they are under no obligation to do anything. Therefore I would take your gift card refund and be thankful you won't be taking much of a loss (if any).

    You F__ked up. They were good enough to offer a value solution, you complain.

    The worse part if you know you F'ed up but in the same breath blind that they have done you a favour.

  • I know its frustrating you cannot get a refund, so maybe look into selling the sim card to somebody, ask your friends, family, facebook, etc and then transfer the contact details to the new person.

    Firstly the error is with you and NOT with Kogan.
    Hence I would suggest your heading should be "Kogans frustrating experience with me"

    Secondly There is nothing wrong with the service Kogan provides and you have not complained about the same hence Kogan is NOT oblidged to provide any refund

    Thirdly you did NOT purchase a SIM card from Kogan as Kogan provides these for FREE.

    So it seems you want to bend and twist the facts into your favour but in fact you are the difficult one!

    So stop complaining and just accept what Kogan have offered you as they are not obliged to provide you with any refund

    I called up here to get my refund, was done in 5 business days. :)

    Another life lesson you've just learned.

    Think twice, buy once.

    Kogan are under no obligation to refund you for a mistake you made.

    You could try asking politely for refund as a good will gesture from them, but being Kogan don't hold your breath.

  • I actually don’t understand how that can happen. I bought a sim with a yearly plan which I then put into my existing account using the number given inside my account. Are you saying you bought twice? If so check your cart and email next time

    I called them recently after I forgot to recharge my 365 day plan (by 1 day) and 5 minutes later after speaking to someone I was recharged for another 365 days!

  • I feel you, but to be fair they have given you a decent solution. Sell the gift card at $5 discount if you need the cash.

  • If the first one has not expired try using it as recharge voucher not as "a sim and voucher startup kit" it worked for me,if they offer a credit voucher why not use that to purchase another voucher or sim starter kit,if you have any family or friends birthday coming up the voucher would be a great gift,
