Great torch. I ordered mine last week 3/08/2018 at full price :( delivered yesterday.

This is my 3rd ThorFire torch - C8s, TG06S and VG-15S with Q8 on order. Solid products, good quality. VG15S runs off single 18650 battery.

  Thanks i recently purchased the TG06S and it's fantastic

  I had a 14500 battery i was charging in my liitokala charger and i could smell burning, touched the battery and it was so hot i couldn't touch it.. i don't think thats normal.. would it be a faulty battery issue?

    Was it already warm when you put it on charge? This might throw the charger out. My LiitoKala Lii-202 works fine.

      I have two chargers atm - 1) Soshine SCS2 that I got with some 18650 batteries from supersport600 ebay seller, 2) LiitoKala Lii-402 from GearBest as recommended on ozbargain previously.

  Pity these dont come with the battery - so you need to take the battery cost into consideration, and then of course the charger to go with it… would be great if these could charge with a Micro USB Cable :)

    You can buy batteries with built-in Micro USB charging ports if it's that much of an issue.

    Yes, as Dav3 said, you could look into one of these for $24 or the 3500mAh version for $10 more

    I bought a 3500mAh version and it works really well but of course it's about the same price as buying a decent quality 18650 and a charger anyway so is still expensive. There are cheaper versions available but I'm not sure I'd trust them.

    Another option is to break open an old laptop battery like I did and got 6 x 18650's for nothing, or the Aldi 18650 Battery Hack.

      Just know that battery packs like that will not have PCB-protected batteries so need some extra caution.

        I assume you're referring to the 'ALDI Battery Hack' above? If so then these are Power Tool batteries and are usually stocked with the Power Tool Special Buys until they sell out. I got my 4Ah battery a good 2-3 weeks after ALDI had the tools on sale and it was still only $40. Here's a pic of one in its box

  For my blfq8 i got liitokala 500 from alibaba (liitokala official store) for 19$. Sanyo batteries ncr18650ga for 34$ from techaroundyou, works great.

    TK15S is slightly longer, 132mm v 122mm

    TK15S has bike mode (3 higher brightness bursts each second) and has two buttons, tail cap for on off and side switch for mode. Mode changes Moon>Low>Mid>High>Mid>Low>Moon on TK15S - VG15S is firefly, low, mid, high, turbo then back to firefly.
