Bought the V8 animal last time, very happy with it. Extra HEPA filter at the back is the must IMO (comparing to the V7), no dusty smell.
Is there any place to get the fluffy head cheaply? I'm keen for the Absolute but would be happy with the Animal + fluffy head separately.
I checked Ebay and Gumtree, most likely it will cost you $150+.
Is there any reason you want to get the fluffy head? I have mostly tiles and the standard head works fine.
One guy at work has the Absolute and he said he hardly changes to fluffy head.
yeah, unless you have all timber floors I see little point in the fluffy. It seems the only reason for it is to be a little gentler on timber. It'd just be a PITA changing heads if you have a mix of hard and soft floors.
Yeah I've got a mix of wood (laminate), tiles and carpet. Most of the nightly cleaning (we have messy kids) is on the laminate floors.
I wouldn't bother. If your messy kids are like mine then there's probably a fair amount of food on the floor that might not agree with the soft head.
I agree that its fine to use the standard on tiles but I can also tell you that its so not a bother to switch. Its a press and plug
Yeah it’s real easy. The PITA is where you walk to to the next room, open the drawer where the other head should be (because it doesn’t fit in the wall mount), realise it’s not there, eventually find it in the kids toy box before finally changing over and heading back to the mess.
No doubt most times you grab the vac the wrong head is fitted so the 10 sec quick cleans become 30sec+. You soon get fed up with changing heads so the ‘one trick’ fluffy head spends its life in the drawer, only coming out occasionally because it cost so much you feel obliged to use it.
Or maybe not.
