        where is the best price?

      • +1

Can you provide links to lower prices please?

  • Will it work with Lebara connection as it uses Vodafone network underline ?

    • I don't think it can work with Lebara.

    • my nokia 3310 locked to vodaphone works perfectly with Lebara

  • +1

    Can you unlock it ?

    • Just go on chat and state that you are going overseas. You will need exsisting Vodafone service though.

      • Has this strategy actually worked for you personally?

If so, how long after activating the Vodafone SIM do you reckon I can approach them to get the unlock code for free?

        • +1

Yes it did. I just chatted to them and activated sim while chatting and they waited for me to activate.

@Jimmy007: Ta! Have you tried putting your SIM in before unlocking to test whether the phone is actually locked?

Vodafone's prepaid phones sometime come unlocked out of the box (despite the packaging saying they are locked)

        • @ginmi: Tru7ly? That's interesting information.

    • $25 for unlock via vodafone website

  • Has anyone managed to get this phone to work with a SIM from a Vodafone MVNO (Kogan,Lebara etc) without unlocking?

    Personal experience only please. ta

I'm using a Vodafone Nokia 3 with a kogan SIM right now, with no problems, not unlocked. Bought from coles a month or so ago for 89.

    • Yes for Kogan …. Last week from Woollies deal.

  • Thanks OP.

  • Oops nevermind

    • I wished you were right. I may have bought 2 if they were Optus because naturally I would like to avoid the unlock fee.

I got one but vodafone won't unlock it for me.
Can someone with a vodafone service help me unlock it?

    • They won't even unlock it for a fee? Did they explain why?

      • I mean they won’t unlock it for free. This is ozbargain so I much prefer not to pay the fee.

        I hope someone can help.
        Thanks please pm me!

        • They wanted how much? $25?

        • @PJC:
          Yes

        • @sintro: Thanks.

  • Which is it?

    2GB or 1.5 GB RAM?

Anyone tried it with Boost or Amaysim?

    Cheers

  • The Nokia is 2G, Alcatel is 1.5G.

  • Did anyone buy the Nokia 3?
Could you please post a copy of the receipt?

  • +1

Thanks OP. I bought 2 of the Alcatel A3 yesterday. There's a good chance that price will happen again, so it's not really too late to confirm the Optus website says it features 2Gb RAM, not 1.5Gb and the phone itself reports 1.9Gb RAM which is close enough for me. I'm still getting used to it but so far I am pleased with the value.
