Regardless of whether it is on sale they cannot refuse your statutory warranties.
Their statement is potentially misleading however they do have a seperate section for faulty item returns.

I'd highly recommend these at this price. They're decent quality and a good fit.

Got mine in the mail. Actually quite horrid quality - not soft cotton like a sweatshirt is supposed to be, but very rough and stiff fabric on the inside and out. Probably worst material I've ever seen
