    Website says $14.98. Where did you get this price from?

    • +1

      Same here

    • It’s Bunnings usual price lagging not leading behaviour. This is a price beat on Woolworths current LED sale.

      https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/572051/phi…

      If you don’t have a Woolworths nearby it’s likely full price at Bunnings near you. Might also be a NSW only catalogue deal?

        Looks like it shows $7.45 for all states except SA and QLD. Even better I will try my local Bunnings to price beat Woolworths by 10%.

        • Usually can do that on first day of special. If they get a lot of price beats, Bunnings drop there shelf price.

        • @Steptoe: Just got Bunnings to price beat. Came down to $6.73 each.

  • Wouldn't flicking the light off several times each time cause long term problems too?

    • It's average life is 15000 hrs, which is the same as that of comparable non-dimmable bulbs.

      • I'd never believe those averages in my experiences, which doesn't relate to my concerns.

        Turning it on and off repeatedly in quick succession generally isn't something any electrical thing likes.

        • +1

          You're right, averages may not be reliable. Switching repeatedly is generally not recommended for an electrical device but this product is designed to operate in such a way.

          @kz:

          It should retain the last setting used if off for a longer duration.

        • @Steptoe:

          If its anything like the LED lights we have in our Martec fans … they always start on the highest setting .. then you flick on/off until the desired brightness is achieved.

          100% ——> 40% ——> 10% ——> 100% etc

          @Matt2018:

          no, I have have the Normal Bulb 💡 style in this range and they retain the setting.

        • @Steptoe:

          Just how bright are these 5.5W models? …. I currently have 15W CFL globes in the kids rooms, but they arent very bright as they both have frosted glass light fittings.

        • @Matt2018:

          These are 470lumens.

          They are meant for decorative lighting like chandeliers etc.

          The normal one I have is 806lumens, say like a 60W incandescent, so estimate not as bright as a 15W CFL that is warmed up.

    • Can't speak for the rest of the components in a house, but LEDs don't really have issues going on and off quickly, generally speaking.
