Bought a set of these before this winter and the fabric is up their with the more expensive brands but they have skimped on the sizing… as in they are hard to get on the mattress, very tight fitting. Having said that, I would buy them again. Good value.

    • How do you find them after washing? Do they maintain there softness?

      • No difference compared to any of the others in the cupboard.

    • Hmm I found in general Targets sheet sets have gone lower in quality, and the sizes are quite large so you have a big empty gap which drives me crazy over time…
Would still have gotten some of these if my size was avail.

    • I probably just don't know the material well enough and am projecting based on the store and packaging - but I gotta say they didn't 'look' like stuff that's going to last long without at least getting visible pilling or possibly even fibres etc seperating and adding to dust or sticking to other materials they come in contact with. I am not speaking from experience though so I hope you're right and I am a poor judge of this stuff. For $15 each though if it survives a season that's a good start compared to the smooth/cold sheets I have currently.

I've found the ikea stuff I bought is very tight and doesn't completely cover all sides of the mattress too (ZZZ atleir black label king size). I was hoping I just got unlucky and that the mattress isn't some sort of non-standard size of King.

      • Just noticed it says on the packaging something like 'due to the nature of flannelette the materials when rubbed together may create a pilling or fluffing effect' so I guess that's that. Still an aesthetic thing for some to consider before buying

Also I didn't realize that the set comes covered in a 'material bag' so the condition of the outside bit you can see is not representative of the condition of the sheets or covers.

        • I think the bag might be the same fabric as the sheets. I have some quilt covers from Target that came in a bag and it's the same.

        • Hijacking these top level comments some more;

Washed before use as per instructions. Used once last night. Visible pilling and loose floof in the area where I was rubbing my feet trying to warm up. Hopefully it's a first use thing but I was pretty surprised to see so much happen that quickly. Quite possibly I did something wrong but I used the cotton setting and 30degrees water on the washing machine so…should have been fine?

  • Is flannelette the same as flannel?

Stacks and stacks of all colours and sizes in Canberra Center Target. https://imgur.com/a/UDMoyhh Not all the ones available in the store shown in those two pictures

Will continue to confuse Kmart and Target for the rest of my life though. One of them needs to rebrand their colour I swear.

Thanks. Plenty in stock in a variety of colours in the Hobart CBD.

  • Good find. Thanks OP. Going in store tomorrow to check out the range and quality. The quilt cover set appears to be be $15 as well for anyone interested:

  • So much warmer in winter, great to have. If click & collect costs $3 you could always grab something for $5 and then C&C for free.

  • Target have also marked down a heap of the kids licensed flannelette pyjamas to $8.Couldn't find them online anymore but for that matter I couldn't find their sale page either so have to buy instore if you're interested.

  • Anyones order shipped yet? OR are Target generally slow…?

    • I received notification last night that my order (through ebay) has been sent. Just checked the tracking "Shipping information received by Australia Post".
