I'm wondering whether anyone is still able to use Flight Centre to price beat online booking agents such as bestjet.com and then use gift cards as a method of payment? Has their policy been changed recently?

Yes, you can use gift cards for payment of Flight Centre price beat. In fact I just did it yesterday.
I purchased the gift cards via my Youi rewards account at 15% off.

Ok, well we all know you can price beat and pay with gift cards. That part is simple. The real question is will they price beat a discount online overseas booking site.

Flight Centre only price match Australian businesses with ABN. As such, Bestjet qualifies.
Wow. 15% off the gift cards is great. Do they have any cap limit on it? I need to book 4 tickets for around 5k so would be great if I can buy some gift cards.

Yes, I did it back in April, also like @tranter with Youi rewards! Was able to use 2, pay off the leftover balance with cc, no additional fees.
2 weeks ago price matched bestjet and used $1,500 worths of gift card to pay for the flight

Last week, price matched with Aunt Betty in one of their branches after rejected via phone call. Used GC and all went well. So I suggest you try this way in one of their branches in person, rather than over the phone.
Aunt Betty is a flight Center company only. Both are having same ABN☝️
Yep, I know. In fact I was the one had mentioned that so they would price match on their own price but they rejected over the phone. Bestjet and Aunt Betty prices are pretty close most of cases anyway, so you use Bestjet's price if that happens to you.
