What is the most popular shirt then for ozb people?

    • +12

      Tw Lewin or CT

      • Seems more expensive?

        • Generally $35 a pop.

        • +4

It is but it has a better fit and quality especially if you wear them day in day out, based from what I've read (I don't own any)

        • +1

@mmd: I own TM Lewin, Charles Tyrwhitt and Van Heusen. TM Lewin's super fitted is the best fit for me, and I personally struggle to find a better fit in CT or VH, but try them all out and figure out what is best for you - they are all fine quality-wise but people notice a shirt that fits better.

        • +3

@josho9: Van Heusen fit me perfectly personally. I find the Euro-tailored to be quite good if you are broad of shoulders and thin in the waist.

        • @ONEMariachi: VH needs ironing more i think

        • @Bimo: Not something I've had an issue with. Iron once then keep on a wooden hanger. Seems to go fine for me.

      • I find their collars too broad/big though shirts are nice.

  • Does anyone know what % cotton blend this is?

    • 60% Cotton, 40% Polyester

      • Thanks. They breath Pretty well in hot weather?

        • +7

          40% Polyester

        • I've had no problem with them in hot weather, and I run pretty hot, sweat decently. Not as good as my MJ Bale shirts, but yeah, they're also usually half the price, and these are a quarter the price. So there's that.

      • Ooh this is not good for someone who sweats alot like me

        • -2

Cotton absorbs moisture. That's not good when you sweat a lot. You will have sweaty patches.

You might be better off with polyester or polyester blends which advertise moisture-wicking and/or odor neutralizing (because bacteria thrives on polyester).

        • @lubos: Rubbish. You’d rather stay sweaty and sticky instead of your shirt absorbing it?

More importantly, cotton breathes so you won’t get as hot.

Polyester might be fine for reducing wrinkles, but you’ll get hotter.

        • @SolitaryMan: correct, polyester better for cold weather, cotton for hot.

  • Cheers, restocked some shirts.

  • Cheers OP :)

  • How is this euro fit compared to Tm lewin's fitted shirts?

  • +4

these are bad quality. waste of money even at $14

    • you tried?

      • Yup tried and tested

      • Completely agree. I’ve owned 10+ VH shirts and they stretch within 6 months. The fit when you purchase is great (at least for me), but they’re practically useless after a year.

    • +2

Definitely don't agree. Using the Euro Tailored and for this price they will get you a good amount of wear no problems.

FFS. I just paid $99 for 2 VH shirts at Myer on Saturday. They had 3 for $125 but only had two I liked in my size.
3 more on the way from Amazon for $52.50 delivered and "guaranteed" to be in Perth by Friday. Loving Amazon (and Shopback).

    Cheers OP!

    • +1

      Return Myer shirts?

      • Already washed and worn both :(
        Bad luck for me.

        • +7

Order the same ones as the Myer ones and return those

          @altomic:

True OzBargainer. The styles I purchased are not available on Amazon though. I will keep an eye out for them.

    • I dunnoe why this deal wasn't very popular (maybe the brand isn't very popular with ozbargainers?), but if the style you liked was available online you could get a further 40% off.

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/395795

I've just picked up 4 shirts for $100 with their 3 for $125 deal + 40% off. I sampled one of their shirts a few months back and loved the fitting and good quality (at least by my standards) of the shirts. If that particular shirt was still available, I probably would've bought a few more of it

    • For future reference, Harris Scarfe usually has VH shirts cheaper than $50 if you need them in a hurry.

  • Does Prime do free returns like ASOS and Iconic if you get the sizes wrong?

  • +2

Tw Lewin or CT Are very nice and good quality shirts!

  • What happens if I don't like one out of the three shirts, will I be refunded for the shirt but charged for the shipping retrospectively?

    • +3

For $14, just give it to Vinnies.

  • Noice

  • Thanks, grabbed 3 for $49 delivered (plus cashback). Good value even if they aren't the best shirts around.

  • +1

Thanks grabbed 4 shirts, what a bargain. My choice for a business shirt and got my size also (46), long lasting and well made and retail for $59.95 each. Loving Amazon deals coming out.

  • +1

I have twice fallen for this offer & bought 8 shirts.
Although the designs & the stich is good the quality of the material is utterly poor. Very thin , one wash & you see stitches getting loose.
Long gone are the days when VH was a top brand that sold quality.

  • +2

Agree with most of the comments re: quality but to my mind the Van Heusen's are "good enough" and certainly great value at this price, if you're not fussed about the quality.

  • +1

I don't see $14 price each… I added 3 shirts and see a total price of 118. Am I missing something? or is the deal gone?

    • +1

Yeah looks to me like the cheap ones are gone.

  • But why can't I find items with the same prices on my mobile phone after I clicked the link?
