Remember that you can combine with discounted Rebel egift cards, Flare Rewards is the free and easiest way to get 10% off cards :) The other programs that offer 10% off are Entertainment Book, Lumo Ameego and Suncorp Rewards.

    • You know how many gift card i can use per order?

      • I'm not 100% sure, but they come in up to $200 denominations with Flare so should be covered for most purchases, I would imagine you could use up to at least 5 gift cards per transaction.

From the website under FAQ payment methods:

        rebel Gift Card
Only rebel Gift Cards and rebel e-Gift Cards are accepted online. You can use a Gift Card as whole or part payment.
You do not have to spend the full value of your Gift Card in one transaction.
A maximum of three (3) Gift Cards can be used per transaction. You cannot purchase a rebel Gift Card with another rebel Gift Card.

    • How long does it take to receive the gift cards?

      • +3

All gift card purchases off Flare have been instant for me. They also accept amex which is really good to offset the 1% fee if you have an explorer or plat edge.

        • And can they be ordered outside normal business hours? I.e. if I go to Rebel tomorrow and find something that I want to purchase then do you think I should be able to buy the gift card then and make then purchase at Rebel soon afterwards?

The Flare Rewards website for the Rebel gift cards does say "Please note, occasionally eGift card/eVoucher delivery may take time to arrive. Please allow until close of business the following business day for delivery."

          @Rodo:

I believe they still come instantly even after business hours, I can't 100% confirm, but I ordered Flight Centre cards recently and believe that it was at night :)

@Rodo: I just ordered now and it was instant.

        • @tarken: Thanks for the info. Just made my Rebel purchase. The gift card arrived soon after purchase. And there was no problem using it on the Rebel site.

They're wayyyyyyyy overpriced. A barbell they sell is half the price on ebay. How are they still trading this mob?

    • +3

They're the Harvey Norman of the sports retailing industry.

It's all about waiting for sales (e.g. Kathmandu are notorious for sales - never buy at full price).

Last month when Rebelsport had another sale, I bought the Pedal Nation saddle bag ($5), pannier bags ($10), handlebar bag ($7), and rack top bag ($7) for a total of $29.

I unfortunately missed out on the Flight mountain bike though. :(

      • That's amazing. I would have loved to buy that bike.

      • When you bought the pannier bags for 10$ did they give you a pair or just one? I got just one and I'm wondering if I didn't get the other side?

    • +1

You have to pick and choose, some items are very competitive.

    • Pairs of the new Post-Nike Converse All Stars with the lunarlon sole were $40 a pair a few months ago. That's pretty cheap seeing as the converse outlet shop in the US had them for circa $60aud

  • Ultraboost 4.0 ($260 RRP) for $208. $198 With discounted giftcards (5% egift card). And further 6% off to $186.12 with cashreward. ~28% off

    • the blue/grey pair cost $140 from wiggle.com.au last week

    • Rebel always has shit colourways. So annoying.

  • Thanks OP, I've been wanting a new pair of runners!

    Any bargains??

If you have Ent Book, grab a 10% off egift card to combine. I just purchased a $100 one, and received the egift card straight after payment. Hopefully this is the same for all, but YMMV!

    • Just did the same thing tonight and can confirm you get it straight away :)

  • Sweet, I might look to buy a bike

    • I bought 3 bikes from rebel 2 weeks ago, Great bikes for the money.

Does anyone know how to actually check that my order is click and collect instead of getting things delivered?

    • +1

Looks like there is an issue as I tried to select store pick up but it still reverts to shipping..

      • Same~~ Look like cant click and collect in store :(

      • See my post below. I chose C&C but reverted back to Delivery. I did not notice it until I got the confirmation email. Called up customer service and they had to update my order to C&C and will refund shipping fee.

Honestly i cant thank the poster enough. I was about to buy these stephen curry shoes for 160.

So 20% off brought it down to $128. Then i got 6% CR back which is roughly $7. So down to $121. Then I got 10% off the e-gift card which was $12 off. So i ended up paying $109 for the shoes. LOL

This is enough to make any true ozbargainer climax!!!!

    • Now off to SCA to get my two bottles of castrol for 45% off with some additional stacking from a gift card

  • Received email targeted rebel voucher code RS3684WA2018, anybody received the similar thing?

  • Purchased something yesterday (on clearance). It's now cheaper online. Is there any chance of returning and getting for the cheaper price?

  • Thanks OP! Been waiting for this discount.

For those opting for Click and Collect. Just be careful as their online ordering has some issues. Eventhough you select C&C and website is saying available in store, it will revert back to For Delivery and you will get charged with delivery fee. It happened to me. Just got off their customer service hotline (after waiting for 15 minutes for my call to get answered) and the lady admitted that they are having some issues with their online orders wherein even if you choose C&C, it will revert back to delivery and charge you a fee. She updated my order to C&C and will refund the shipping fee. Looks like they are busy answering calls right now so expect a long wait especially later in the day.

    • I've had the same issue.

I haven't even gotten a confirmation email about it, even though I bought it at 6pm last night (bastards charged me already though…)

It was only via Internet history that I could get the order number so I've sent them an email about it. Hopefully, they'll be able to get back to me on it :)

EDIT: After being on hold for 10+ minutes, I've decided I might as well just change the address once Aus Post gets a hold of the tracking number.

  • Thanks OP, ended up buying a fair amount of things.

  • Thanks. Been wanting to use up some gift cards I won. C&C was pretty efficient with collection notification in less than 30 minutes.
