Samsung SSD Cashback Promo. Samsung Requested Additional Info

Hi,

I recently bought a Samsung 960 EVO 512 SSD from Futu_Online. This deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/392667

Filled in the online claim for a 35$ cashback. Uploaded the tax invoice I'd got from Futu_Online.

Today I received an email from Samsung:

Balance outstanding: We have reviewed your documentation and it appears that the copy of your original Proof of Purchase does not show that you have paid for your
Participating Product in full during the Promotional Period.

In order for your claim to be validated, we must receive a copy of your original Proof of Purchase within fourteen (14) days of receiving this email that clearly > shows that you have paid for your Participating Product in full during the Promotional Period.

I guess it means that they will not give me any cashback as I used an eBay discount on checkout. Not sure what they want from me :)
Has anyone else received a cashback from Samsung?

Thanks.

  • I doubt they care whether you paid full price. They just want proof that you paid for it during the promo period. Send them the ebay receipt?

  • They don't care what price you paid (they get paid by the reseller all the same), they just want to make sure you actually bought it. Just ask futu for a "paid" invoice or something like that. Should be enough.

Edit: "Paid in full" doesn't mean paid full price, it just means you've fully paid for the product and isn't owing money on it.

  • Tax invoice is not enough to prove? What else can you provide by assuming if you buy from a shop front i.e. MSY, tax invoice is the only prove you can get.

OP ask what form of doucment is require?

  • Uploaded my PayPal transaction details. Waiting for their response.

    • So how did you go?
