Furibee F36 Quadcopter $6.99 USD ~ $10.84 AUD Incl. Shipping @ GearBest

670

I love these little things! I've lost a few now to crashes and also due to flying drunk… oops!.

I've never seen it this cheap before!! Gonna get a few more to convert to indoor FPV tiny whoops and also just to give people as gifts.

Some close calls as well means I should probably stockpile more given this price ^_^

  • Do they have camera onboard? If so, it would be useful to check solar panels/roof.

      for $10?

Even if it did, one small gust of wind and this thing is flying 2 streets over

      • Very true, if you watch my drunk droning video on the train, you can see the wind quickly pick up the drone and send it down the platform!

    • +1

Unfortunately not at this price. I've converted a few to FPV by adding a $15 AIO camera on top.

Mind you, you will need set of FPV goggles to view and record the video if you require to check the roof.

Mind you, the reception can be limited as you can see in this video where I went over the roof, lost connection and it went out of control and crashed. Good news is these things are super sturdy and can take a massive beating and still function.

are you sure you are talking about solar panels? :D

    • Haha good luck getting any decent view at all.
A tiny drone susceptible to wind + without GPS assisted stability + a camera without a gimbal = you are watching a nausea-inducing earthquake of magnitude 7+ scene :D

  • $11.09 for me

      • $11.32 after Paypal conversion

Use a fee free credit card, like 28 Degrees MasterCard instead

  • nice! any suggestions on which cheap goggles are best to have a bit of a play around with fpv drones please?

EDIT: from your videos it looks like you might have this? https://www.gearbest.com/fpv-system/pp_1253666.html?wid=1451…

    • Check these out
Next on my list of “gadgets I want that I’ll probably use heaps for two weeks before never using again”

    • Hi, I have the EV800D so very similar to the ones you linked.

Yours look great and cheaper than mine. I think I paid about $100ish for the EV800Ds. Not too sure on the reviews of the LS-800D but they look very similar.

  • Is the usb cable used to charge the lithium battery?

    • Yes. I'd charge somewhere that isn't too flammable if using the included charger.

Thanks OP got another one to play with.

Came to $29.89 AU for 3x delivered with .87c express 7-15 day delivery. Shipping went down the more I added to the order.

How well does piloting one of these mini drones translate across to piloting a bigger drone? Eg. DJ Mavic
Would this be a good practice drone for someone who has never piloted before?

    • +2

It's good to practice with something cheap, but the larger drones are much easier to fly. Gyro stabilized, programmable, can be auto set to counteract wind.

    • +1

Good practice yes, they're not that fast and are relatively tough due to the ducts around the props.
They're really only good for indoors, or outside if there is basically zero wind. They get blown around extremely easily, even compared to other cheapo toy quads.

I've got a few of them. People who haven't flown a quad before normally enjoy them, after a while you'll want something faster than a $10 toy quad though :)

    • +1

You don't really need much skills to pilot Mavica. They have GPS positioning and hold. You hover it and it stays there.

These acro are much harder, have to maintain altitude yourself.

    • +1

Very very different. The DJI's are very intelligent. They maintain hover without you needing to constantly hold it in place. These cheap ones are nothing like the proper drones which are infinitely easier to fly.

Really great durable little drones. Survived both my kids for almost a year.
Used outdoors without issue on calm days, loads of fun

I've got the JJRC H36 which is basically this, I've put it in the neighbours yard with a slight breeze a couple of times but with a little practice you can put these things anywhere indoors.

A popular trick is to take the buttons off of the controller joysticks and then extend them with nylon standoffs (I just used a couple of wall plugs), makes the sticks a little longer so its easier to do fine movements.

A MUST is getting the extra batteries, they last about 5-7 minutes each, which imo isn't enough time.

Thanks lozza6. Got a couple. Looks like fun !

  • It’s an amazing design, much more durable than other mini quads. Perfect as an introduction to quads.

Cameras, esp an AIO FPV weigh it down and sap too much power. My eachine E010 struggles to get off the ground. You can fly it but you gotta be gentle - turn too hard and it loses lift.

    • +1

The F36 is much more powerful than the E010 and easily flies around with this camera on it.

You can see in all my youtube videos linked in the post that it flies fine with the canopy swapped out for the FPV camera.

  • I see there is aversion that comes with a camera but much dearer on eBay

Use coupon code JCGJCVEK95702 to bring it down to $9.72.

  • Now USD$7.99

  • Grand Total
    $8.97

  • can anyone suggest where to get extra batteries for this?

    • +1

you can select 1, 2 or 3 batteries for the thing on the page.

      • 3 batteries appears to work out cheaper than buying 2.

    • I bought this set: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5PCS-Eachine-E010-0006-RC-Quadco…

just keep in mind, if you're like me and keep buying more and more F36's, your battery fleet grows faster than the number you can fly at any one time ;)

  • Now $7.99 plus shipping is about $12.20AUD now.

Still a pretty good deal IMO.

  • Bought 3, 2 Orange and one Cyan. Now got a message that they oversold the Cyan, when they had plenty of stock on their site when I ordered. Asking me whether I willing to change to Orange. Yes, if they refund me the difference given I paid extra to get the Cyan colour.
