Hey,
I'm nearing the end of my free trial for eBay Plus and was wondering if I cancelled it and signed up would I get the Google Home Mini?

Why cancel it? I was under the impression you could just let it charge your card for the year at the end of your trial period automatically and you'd be eligible.
The terms in this section 8 apply if you: (a) sign up for a free 30-day trial of eBay Plus in August 2018 and then pay the annual Plus membership fee on the day following the conclusion of the free trial period, or (b) have completed a free 30-day trial (and ceased receiving all eBay Plus benefits) and then rejoin eBay Plus in August 2018 and pay the annual Plus membership fee in August 2018 (“Giveaway Qualifying Conditions”). If you satisfy these Giveaway Qualifying Conditions, you will receive a Google Home Mini, a smart speaker with the Google Assistant built in, unless you advise eBay Customer Service on the day you sign up that you do not want the Google Home Mini.

Nope. That's me and I'm missing out since I originally joined in July
So then you got ebay plus for $29?
Yup. I would have preferred spending an extra $20 for the mini though.
I don't know what to do. I signed up during the google mini promotion.
3 different support staff have verified that I should receive a google mini.
They have all promised that they will send it ASAP.
3 weeks later on I am still waiting for my google mini.
I am tempted to submit a complaint to the ACCC for misleading advertising.
Anyone else that is still waiting for their google mini?

I am still waiting also, but thought they promised it would be sent out soon after payment was made on 1st Sep? I do have some mysterious delivery coming soon from a company called 4PX, maybe it's my mini?
Me too 4PX. Delivery today - collection at the post office. So could be it.

I'm still waiting too, but my payment was only deducted for eBay Plus membership the other day. I too have been reassured I'm eligible for it by an eBay customer service rep. If they don't follow through with their promise, perhaps it could be disputed with PayPal?

No that is incorrect. They are separate companies.
In 2020 eBay will no longer support PayPal, rather ayden.
