I was looking to buy a Camera, and found this. Reviews seem to be ok, I didn't buy it yet as I'm still looking. Seemed like a good deal and thought about posting it here.

      Your comment reminded me that I missed out on linking those so I did, thanks! Still deciding whether to pick this up or not, I think the most attractive feature for getting this camera would definitely be the zoom. But I don't know much about Cameras, which is why it's the first thing that caught my eye. WiFi and NFC capability is pretty cool too.

      No problem, I bought it too! Great value, good for someone who likes taking photos. I'm not skilled enough to go anywhere near something as modular as a DSLR.. yet! Enjoy :)

    Torn. My carry every day play around camera is the SX50HS which has very similar specs with some tradeoffs.
    SX50: Only 12MP, 2FPS, no WIFI/NFC, no remote. External flash shoe. CHDK available. Has articulating screen.
    SX540: 20MP, 6FPS. NFC, remote via phone. No external flash shoe. CHDK not possible. No articulating screen.

    I think I have to pass this up because what I already have is too similar, but I'd be tempted if I didn't own a Superzoom.

    check if you can screw uv or skylight filter on lens for protection …..my nikon equivalent didn’t have a thread for filters.
