Jaybird Run True Wireless Sport In-Ear Headphones $188 (Free C&C or + Delivery) @ JB Hi-Fi

70

JB-Hi-Fi have the Jaybird Runs on sale for $188 (usually $249). I purchased some on Sunday for $213 (after asking for a discount) but got the difference refunded today. Decent headphones with great fit and customisable eq via the jaybird app.

There are issues with interference at times but overall I am happy with these.

Anyone able to compare these with the X3s? Mine are still going strong, but I wouldn’t mind the upgrade to real wireless.

  • Ive got the X3's and from the reviews I've read if youre after overall playback continuous play time, the X3's last much longer.

X3's also have a much more functional and practical set of controls

If you're after a true wireless ear buds, I would have a look at the samsung gear icon x

    • Nice. Got them too and I’ve been really happy. Decent sound. Good battery life. They stay in the ears fairly well even during exercise.

  • Looks like they have a massive delay (latency) and are starting to get rid of them. I reckon these will be going down further.

Have these, do not use them for videos as there is a solid little delay (Caused by right earbud syncing with left, not bluetooth issue)

Other than that they're pretty great purely for music at the gym.

Got mine for $160~ on sale early this year through eBay, they're available for ($175 - 5% using Penny5) Here

      • That's correct, there is only bluetooth connectivity in the right earbud iirc so the delay occurs as it syncs audio to the left earbud.

    • I bought the aldi ones marked down to $20 and they sound great with no delay. How the f are these so dear?

      • Better quality. Aldi has some good stuff, but it is never really that great. It's good for what they charge.

I used to have a cheap pair of BT buds before I got thew X2's. I used to think they were amazing, but when I got the X2's they were so much better in every way.

My take in the week that I've had them:

    1) Great at the gym and for running. very secure fit and never felt like falling out.
    2) No ear fatigue
    3) Great customization of sound via the Jaybird app
    4) There is a delay with videos, but it mainly seems to be youtube. You can use a 3rd party app (if on android) to help reduce the lag.
    5) The left ear does cut out here and there as it syncs with the right one so that can cause issues at times.

I came from the X2's (stopped charging) and QC35's (very sweaty at the gym and impossible to run with) and these fit my needs perfectly. Not for everyone though.

  • Compared to apple earbuds how do they compare? if you have both

    Thanks

  • are you able to just have one earbud turned on while the other one is charging and turned off? only asking because i usually have one bud in while working

    • Yes but only the right one because it contains the blue tooth receiver.

      • Can I have the right one on and charging while im using the left one?

        • no, as mentioned previously the bluetooth connectivity is in the right earbud only, if it is not on there is no connection to your phone or whatever device is playing audio
