[QLD] Strawberry Fresh 250g Punnet for $1 @ Woolworths

110

Great price for strawberries. Fresh and good quality too in my opinion, at least at my local. Spotted this at Coorparoo Brisbane store then called and spoke to produce manager at a different Woolworths store after to check how widespread the special was - they confirmed this is now a nation wide special

Woolworths catalogue

EDIT: sorry all, did my due diligence before saying nationwide by checking with a WW produce manager and checking website. Won't be trusting a produce manager next time to confirm nationwide haha. Updated to reflect QLD only at this stage. Quality may vary store to store, mine were great though and not like some end of life specials ive had before

Got these a couple of days ago, tasted crap like all supermarket strawberries.

And the shelf life was 1 day before they were covered in fuzzy fungi.

they were covered in fuzzy fungi

Are you sure you were looking at the strawberries?

Pretty sure, same shape and colour and I could see the black seeds.

  • I bought some of these today. Above comentor is right, they have to be eaten immediately otherwise the next morning they're covered in something gross. So good price if eating today! I don't know how or why they go mouldy so quickly.

It's store dependent. I got them for $1 at Woolies Metro Chatswood station yesterday. They looked and tasted fine. But my friend reported that they were $1.50 at Haymarket Woolies.

Also they are $1.33 at Harris Farm Market (NSW).

  • $1 in Hamilton harbour Brisbane. Quality is great from today's load, but avoid the Driscol brand ones (excessively large, flimsy packet), they are from a previous delivery and are pretty terrible.
