  • Is Futu part of participated retailer for cashback? Could not find it in the list.

    Thank you

    • Futu (K.S COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY)

      • +1

        Beautiful. Thanks

      • what do we put for retail location?

        • Alexandria, NSW

      • +2

Do they send a full invoice on email or in the post? I bought one, but need the "order confirmation" with full details of seller to claim the cashback.

        • Yeah I'd also like some info on exactly which email / printout people are submitting to Samsung.

        • +1

FYI when they posted the item today they also emailed me a tax invoice.

        • +1

          @Stoz:

Yep, got it too, thanks mate

    • The cashback buying period ended on 20th August

      Edit

Alrighty its been extended till 31st August. MSY or Computer Alliance are still better value than these Jackers

  • Wow. Tempting!!!

  • +15

I really don't like these players inflating their prices.. We should not encourage them

    Futu 970 PRO 512GB: $475 - 20% (PARENT) = $380 - They get the full $475

    Go for MSY 970 PRO 512GB: $393 - 5% (PENNY5) = $373.35 + $5 shipping = $378.35 - Atleast they list the price close to what they sell in store ($385)

They are also valid for cashback offer.

    All 970 Listings from MSY

    970 PRO 512GB: $393.00 (In Store $385)
    970 PRO 1TB: $747.00 (In Store $735)

    970 EVO 250GB: $143.00 (In Store $140)
    970 EVO 500GB: $273.00 (In Store $272)
    970 EVO 1TB: $527.00 (In Store $520)
    970 EVO 2TB: $1,039.00 (In Store $995)

      You are wrong.

They don't get the full $475.

There are numerous reports that both the shop and eBay split the discount.

But even if we exclude that, they still pay 10% in fees to eBay.

At maximum they probably get $427.50, at minimum they would get $380.

Stop this constant misinformation about inflating prices, its not free to list and sell on eBay.

      • +7

even if u consider 10% fee (I know I list as well sometimes) So is MSY loosing money? Everyone is making money here mate!! you are the one loosing i.e. spending!!!

I am simply pointing out the value at looking at other players even after the listing..

How can you justify inflation of price like that? eBay or Futu - whoever profits.. doesn't matter.. I can't believe Futu is not getting a fair share of the inflation!!!

If you consider FULL profit to eBay and thus Futu getting $380 - MSY comes out few $'s cheaper ($378.35)

This is OzBargain right? Not OzInfalte&Bargain

        • At the end of the day you wan to pay the lowest price.

If its more expensive on eBay, but cheaper after discount, buy from eBay.

I don't know where you got the idea that MSY was losing money.

They could both be buynig for $370, and both make $10ish each.

You have to price higher on eBay unless you have a specific deal or you have a reason or margins to price the same.

Computer Tech products are low margin and smaller shops won't have deals with eBay to lower fees.

      • You really think someone like Futu is paying 10% eBAY fees???

        I think not!!

        • We don't know what the fees are, combined with the sale fee.

    • +4

Yep, coupon code should be JACK20.

That said, most of us will buy what's cheapest despite the jacking.

  • Is this too late to claim online as it ends at this Friday? In the claim process, it asks for like Serial Number as well as its photo, which you cannot provide them until you receive it?

    • there's a checkbox for that if you haven't received the item

      • Thanks. But still cannot be later than 1st Sept based on the alert?

        • good point.. didn't notice that. hope mine arrives before the 1st! =/

        • Yeah this kills it for me :(

        • End date for claims has been extended to the 28th Sept

        • @nocure:

It still says the 1st of September on the Claim Now page.

        • +7

          @Lorindor:
Yeah, bit of contradictory information on the Samsung page.

Edit: I gave them a call, they confirmed product must be purchased prior to 31/8, and have until 28/09 to submit claim.

i went for the pm961 basicly evo960 1T for 300$ NVME. older but way cheaper imo

    • Link?

    • Is it new?

    • PM961 is slower than the 960 evo. Quite significantly in writes actually.

  • anyone getting 'this code can't be applied to your order?

    • yes… eBay told me it's a known issue and they're fixing

      • FYI i spoke to ebay support through chat and they created a voucher code for me to use.

    • was an issue for me in the past when i switched over to USA address

      • does the code work for you? i switched back to an AUS address but it still doesn't work

        • +1

nope it's been broken for me since, i've had to use another friend's account instead

        • @dishz: hah really? that would be annoying. No Australian coupon codes work anymore or something then?

  • crap. just bought one (Evo 970 500gb) last week from shopping Express for AUD 325 (before cash back).

  • Anyone has issue on claiming cashback? The serial number on the box has 14 Characters, while the samsung claiming form requires 15 characters, and it doesnt allow me to go to the next step

    • +1

You need the serial on the actual m.2 component, not the one on the box

  • I just purchased a 500gb m.2. But the brand is cruical, not Samsung. How is the long term reliability of that brand?

  • Sorry guys I feel so bad as a eBay plus member. Everyone gets these good deals so what's the point of subscription?

However they have jacked it so everyone lose no deal

    • +1

      Pointless.

      • I should have stopped it from rolling over.

If I cancelled it and get google mini I would regret even more.

But this is stupid. Ebay basically lure everyone to pay plus, not offer anything good to members. It's a rubbish service subscribe to nothing.

If there was a refund I would demand it

  • Want but don't need

  • would these be good for a macbook pro?

  • My old motherboard has only msata connector, is this SSD compatible?

    • No

  • Anyone know if this is compatible in macbook air?

  • -2
    • +1

How so? As from what I an see they're cheaper than those on Newegg.

    • You do realise the $194.70 is USD not AUD?

    • sorry my bad, had it on aus dollars but it changed back for some reason

  • MSY sells 860 Evo 500gb for $151

    • They sure do…$144 in QLD

  • +3

MSY have dropped their prices to 2 or 3 dollars cheaper for each of the 970 EVOs:
