Where is the cheapest place to get Gold Coast theme park tickets?

Heading to the Gold Coast in about a month and was wondering what is the cheapest way to get tickets to the theme parks just for a week. I'm only paying for myself so not looking for family deals. Thanks in advance.

tunnel in, alternatively you can use flybuys points if you have enough

    I've seen them on Groupon

    Groupon
    Scoopon

  • RACQ and Accor Plus also do discounted theme park tickets. But their %age off advertising doesn’t account for different “booking fees” which apply to their ticket prices so check carefully.

      Through, over or under?

  • When I was at surfers paradise couple of months back, in the main street/mall, at the end of mall just opposite the big sign "surfers paradise" at beach.. There was a stand/shop there opposite Macdonalds and there they had some offer which involves attending a advertising seminar thing, and you could then choose your choice of 'rewards' . One of the options was cheap theme park tickets.
Be aware though, they will probably really try to push you to buy something when you attend seminar, and will probably be annoyed if you want to leave as soon as seminar completed (without further allowing their sales people to push a sale) .
They used to do it years ago (back in 1988) where they offer a 'free cruise' then try to sell you time-share of boat. Now seems they still do the same thing, but offer a range of token reward options for attending a marketing event.
If you find it hard to say no, to pushy sales people, then dont even consider this option though.

    • Cool, it used to just be a free breakfast. Also, it's high-pressure timeshare sales…not worth it even for the breakfast.

    • I'm interested in doing this just as a rite of passage.

If you find it hard to say no, to pushy sales people, then dont even consider this option though.

No issue there. I'd be going in very much knowing I won't and can't commit. Just depends on how long the minimum hours you'll be in there for is.

      • I didn't sign up for the 1 at gold coast, she kinda suckered me into talking to her about cheap theme park tickets, then about 5-10 minutes in, she tells me about the 'catch' :/ .
But last time i went to something similar, they said like 1hr, then it went over, and when I tried to leave and collect my free gift/reward for listening to their BS, they tried to keep me from leaving by saying "but you mustn't miss out on this today only offer" (they were scamming retirees with promise they will get rich on a minimal investment, plus their fees) .
So whatever time commitment they promise, expect them to try to keep you longer, but just tell them you have an appointment or something, have to leave on time

        • Good to know. So if they say 1 hour and I’m up for an argument, I could get them to honour. Thanks for the feedback.

        • @tomsco: Well, its not a big arguement, jusy they were dirty on us for leaving at the time specified.
Telling them you have an appointment to get to, they can't really say no, you have to stay. They are very high pressure sales people usually . There was 1 exception, there was a holiday marketing seminar I attended years ago to get $100 coles gift card, the quickly realised I was not going to buy a holiday package from them, and they moved onto others there.

  • Flybuys max, just 80aud for a 3 day pass

    • $81 plus 8,640 points, which is equivalent to $43.20 worth of Coles gift cards.

I'm hanging out for Groupon to have a 3 park pass - seems they often do a 3 day pass for around $60.

Just bought 11 tickets for flat $80 each. Could be normal flybuys you are talking about?

        • Ah yes, my bad.

  • You can buy as NRMA blue member. Its cheaper and instant if you are nrma blue member.
