Instant Steel String Guitar Instrument for Kontakt VST-AU-AAX Sound Samples $18 (was $198) @ 8dio

40

8dio, the company behind a huge range of sample instruments, is having their anniversary sale… Actually they've had it all month with one deal every 48 hours - sorry I've missed most of them so will be handing my OzBargain licence into reception on my way out.

The current bargain is their Instant Steel String Guitar Bundle which has solo and strummed steel string guitar libraries in VST, AU and AAX formats. $18 instead of the usual $198. You might also be able to get another 10% off of you sign up for their newsletter but I didn't try.

I probably won't get this one as I already own their Advanced Guitar Series steel string guitar, which is awesome. This one looks and sounds similar from what I can tell. Sample songs and demo videos are on the site.

Note these are just virtual instruments and you'll need the Native Instruments Kontakt sampler and a DAW (digital audio workstation software) to use it. If you don't know what this means the bargain is not for you.

Could make title clearer - "Sound Samples".

  • So these are digital audio samples? KK thx

  • I prefer nylon string guitars. Easier on the fingers and less likely to produce callouses…

    • I agree, easier on fingers. Callouses are good though. Just somewhat painful in the process of getting them built up. Once you have callousness built up though, I find there is much more precise control.
Not sure any of this is pertinent for a virtual instrument though.

      • Callouses are good though.

        Not if you're a neurosurgeon…

        • All good, I'm a rocket scientist not a brain surgeon :)

        • @ozzpete:

          I'm a rocket scientist

          That don't impress me much…

        • @jv: I am don't darn impressed with your literacy
It doesn't matter who is impressed or not dude :)

If sample audio is causing callouses I don't think you're using your computer properly

      • Maybe just stick to the joystick?
