      Wonder why Jetstar dropped the SYD-KL route they had a few years ago?

      Malaysian government shortsighted just protecting MA, but not thinking of the overall revenue Syd residents bring in tourist dollars.

    Their specials certainly aren't anywhere near as good as they used to be.

    Looking forward to my MEL-KL-LKW-PEN-KL-MEL trip in April for $250 (including baggage) each booked about 11 months ago… but seems those specials don't come up anymore in their big sales.

      ya those sales are long gone I'd say .. we booked one about 10 months in advance back in 2009 when they had their zero dollar sales, got a Melb-KUL-Philippines-KL-Melb for ~$140 return!!

      aussiedogga - my exact route! 'cept I'm travelling end-June/July. Figured coupla days in Langkawi wd be in order, rather than wait 5hrs for the connecting flight to Penang! Booked last Oct, MEL-KL-MEL $266 per pax all incl … you got a better deal!

    Not the same sale prices as twelve to twenty four months ago I agree (They were very good back then) Once you get to KL on the first hop then fares seem much better.

    You can fly Emirates MEL-KUL for under $600.
