I clicked on "Deals > Internet", and the browser went here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/cat/internet. The first deal listed was:

I don't understand why the newer deals from Tangerine and Mungi were not showing in Internet Deals. As far as I can tell all three deals were correctly catagorised and tagged. Is deal category working correctly? Have I misunderstood its function?

Hit the "new" tab, the default tab "deals" are front page only

    • Right, I missed the "new" tab on the tertiary title bar.

So the reason the Tangerine and Mungi didn't show up in "deals" is because they hadn't received enough + votes?

      • There's various metrics involved in hitting front page, but basically yes

I'm surprised with your length of time here and your participation (and PU status) that you didn't know that tbh

        • I hadn't had much need of the deal category function until now, and I missed the tab hiding in the tertiary title bar. Length of membership does not mean I am familiar with all of OzB's features.

Being Power User simply meant I paid attention to mistakes & omissions in posts, whether a post follows the rules, stock level, deal expiry, users' comments, and being vocal in drawing them to mods' attention. I think a large reason to make a normal user PU is to reduce the load on the mod team from having to deal with our reports.

It is a good day when I learnt something new.

      • I'm pretty sure it is, you can also go to settings>deals and change your front page and new deals filter a bit if need be.
