I checked StaticIce but nothing decent there. It's a great price compared to what I paid for my tiny 32" a few years back, but the short warranty worries me (been burnt before on a Sansui with 1 year warranty). Anyway, I'll let you guys tell us if this really is a good deal or not :-)

  • Very good price for a great TV. 2011 models are coming, but I'm betting this will still compare well to them.

Cannot comment on the store as I've had no dealings with them.

  • This is a great price, but I've been burnt by Extrastock in the past. I bought a Canon HD digicam from them (via eBay) a couple of years ago. Charged me $45 "shipping and handling" for Registered Post which cost them less than $15. I thought $30 was a bit steep for "handling".

And yes, I know you can decide beforehand whether or not the delivery charges are reasonable, but I'd thought they were going to use a courier.

And to make matter worse, the camera failed soon after its 6 month warranty expired, so that was nearly a grand down the toilet.

  • This is a great TV. I bought a new one for $1500 at the Good Guys. Love it.

  • Dont forget this is coming back into stores in March and will sell approx $1500.

I think new models are coming in May.

  • I wonder how much the Panasonic extended warranty is and whether it is available for refurb models.
