I saw the deal a bit later and was already removed by the moderators. So I just googled it in cache and found the undeleted version. I thought it would be great to tell the uni students since its for universities.

    Sorry I got an email from 3M's Post-In brand manager in Australia today requesting to have the deal pulled. This is an extract of the email:

    Can I ask you to please remove this promotion from your website… This promotion is exclusive to the universities and institutions with which we have an agreement, unfortunately we can not extend this promotion beyond our agreed partners. If you could please kindly remove this promotion from your website immediately it would be greatly appreciated.

    I guess if you are a university student it might still apply to you.

      Fairly sure it was an o'week promo. They (3M or someone else) were handing out pamphlets saying to get on board at uni so I think it's a fair request to ask it for it to be pulled from ozbargain.

    They could have make it a lot easier if they asked for a .edu email instead and used a filter just like Microsoft It's Not Cheating program does.

    Well, it looks like it's another marketing plan done in by the Ozbargain effect!

        Yeah I am a uni alumni, left there 12 years ago and still have an .edu.au email address…

          Well, does it still work? I thought unis clean the servers every year to get more server space.

    I bought a heap of student version software last year and usually they required the edu email as well as an invoice for the year or something like that. But I finished last year and my email still works
