3 September, 2018 update allows you to freely upgrade to PRO version of Apex Launcher, by installing the app and selecting PRO under settings of the app. Do note, this does not grant you a Google Play Pro license, it just allows you to unlock PRO features if you have it installed with the aforementioned update.

Apex Launcher Pro unlocks the following features:

  • Powerful drawer customizations (sort apps in drawer, folders in drawer)
  • Unread count notifications (provided by the free Apex Notifier extension)
  • Convenient icon gestures (swipe up and down actions)
  • More gesture options (two-finger gestures)
  • Additional transition effects (accordion, cross, etc.)
  • Enhanced folder support (bulk add, merge folders)
  • Advanced widget options (widgets in dock, overlapping widgets)
  • More features on the way!

    Selecting PRO then Get Apex Launcher Pro takes me to the Google Play Store and the price for the pro version is $5.99

      It looks like the latest app version I can download from Google Play Store is from 4th Aug 2018 version.

        It appears that you have to be on the latest version Apex Launcher to be able to activate the Pro(i.imgur.com)

        I'm assuming older device won't support the latest version of the app.

    How to claim the free offer? The app either wants money or an unlock code. Detective Pikachu, please do more detecting.

    Silly question. But will this Pro-Upgrade be tied to my device or my google account?

    Edit: Checked and as expected it is tied down to the device.

      The free offer does not survive a re-installation on my device. I don't know enough about Android to tell you why our experiences differ.

        I had a app data backup tool running and when it reinstalled, I think it took the old data. Without that however, it does not survive reinstall like you and others have mentioned!

    Installed, clicked on App Settings.
    Showed Pro as available free, clicked & it confirmed upgrade to ApexPro V4.0.5 .

    Can someone used both before, tell me what's the difference? which one is better?

      I used Nova back in the day, then switched to Apex.

      I have now switched back to Nova as the 4.0.x update has removed about half of the features from 3.3.4, and set up the framework for in-app ads in the future.

      My advice is dont bother, and stick with Nova.

    My phone is Android 8.0 - I get Apex Launcher 4.0.6 = Pro for free!

    My tablet is Android 6.0 - I get Apex Launcher 4.0.1 = :(

    It looks like v4.0.7 is available to download and it's now available to almost all versions of android.

    I just got the 4.0.7 update too. For those of us using firewalls on their devices you need to allow the app before you'll see the free upgrade offer.

    As others have stated it seems to be a sort of "trial" pro offer that will be lost once you uninstall the upgraded app.
