No need to rush for this.

It was $4.67 last week. Expiry Apr, 2021.

I’ve had a few items now bought when the essentials discount first started, went to rebuy and either gone up in price a fair amount or just taken off the promo. So yeah I wouldn’t trust them, I’m assuming they’re pushing up price of popular items (yes did confirm same seller).

  • Quote from the Product Description: "IMPORTANT INFORMATION The efficacy of an antibacterial agent in lozenges in reducing the severity or duration of throat infections has not been clinically established." I'll stick with the genetic $2 bag of supermarket eucalyptus cough drops.

    • +7

Genetic bag usually costs more. The generic ones are cheapest!

I find tea/hot water with lemon and honey works way better at soothing/decongestion.

These barely even work. Strepsil plus work much better.

    • Plus what?

    While we're here…

Has anyone been feeling unusually fatigued over the past week? I think there's a virus going around whose primary symptom is fatigue.

    • This year has been lowest in a decade (at least) for rates of flu. I’ll take weird fatigue virus over that!

    • +3

It’s going around these few weeks. Notice the increase number of ads popping up everywhere. I think it’s a conspiracy. Drug company releasing the virus.

      • +1

Yeah I noticed that too. It happened around the same time last year. My theory is that those "cold and flu" tablets sell better when it's cold.

        "It's pretty cold, ey!"

"What was that sonny? You're feeling cold?! And flu? Soldier ooon with Codral, soldier on, soldier on…"

      • +1

Yes. I didn't get the flu all winter. Didn't get a shot either.

Yesterday I woke up and was so achy and have a sore throat.

Maybe there is excess stock of cold and flu medicine the companies have to sell?

        • +3

Annual virus release to clear out stock before it expires.

You’re not wrong. Family member works in a lab too and they’re all out. It’s definitely fatigue that gets you hard with this. Came down 3 weeks ago and things are now clearing up.

    • Yes, my wife has been like that for the last week

    • Has anyone been feeling unusually hungry over the past week? I think there's a virus going around whose primary symptom is hunger.

      • Symtoms include 2 days sore throat, cough and congestion starts on the 3rd day, gets worst on the 4th to 5th day, recovers on the 6th day.

These are just sweets ,they don't do anything to cure even give a temporary relief.

Cheers, will come in handy thanks to child in day care

  • Thanks OP. I have a sore throat so hopefully these come in time.

Out of interest - how are people finding the cheaper products on Amazon?

    • +1

I think its worth keeping the membership. I have been buying odd home/beauty/clothes etc products when the price is low. Will take prime anyday over ebay plus.

For me, these are the best.. i am quiting cigarettes but still smoke 1 to 3 rolls and then cough.. These really help me supress my cough when at work. And these costs $8 for 16 of them near my work's convenient store..bought 6 packs.
