Already got this on steam but it was this price might get it to play on the tv

  • Doesn't work for me. Says I need to add an American payment option.

    • You can purchase it directly on your xbox one in the 'backward compatibility sale' in the deals section.
Otherwise make sure en-au is in the url, not en-us. That might be the cause?

      • +1

Got it to eventually work, however it bumps up the price to $9.74.

All you had to do was follow the damn instructions CJ!

        • @ireadtermsofuse: Did you buy your license?!

        • I got it for the $2 price with Aussie card!

        • Same for me on my laptop. How did you resolve this issue to reduce price to $1.94? I don't have access to my Xbox as of now.

        • +1

@aaruu: For some reason my xbox account was in US region, not Australia. Even though my Microsoft account was in Australian, etc. Once I changed that it let me pay with paypal

    • +1

      Worked for me! Cheers OP

  • +1

Worked fine for me, paid by PayPal.

    Cheers OP!

  • +1

    Worked for me, easy thanks

  • +3

Even tho I have the Trilogy on PS4 I wanted the Xbox 360 Version for the different enhanced visuals

Seems to have come through as AUD$1.94 for me.

This is the only GTA I haven't played.

    • +6

      And best GTA, imo.

      • +1

It was the best GTA back in 2004 when it came out and maybe even beat GTA IV which was on the next generation, but nowadays it's pretty outdated and cannot possibly compare or be as enjoyable to the current gen beast that is GTA V.

        • It'll be nice to play some single player style GTA until Red Dead 2 comes out, as we're never getting single player DLC for 5.

  • +2

Easy logged in and PayPal, have on PC but for me it's such a TV console game!

    • +1

Not to mention you have to install some third party addons to get the gamepad support working properly on PC

    Grove Street Fo lyfe.

    Thank you. Bought and +1'd

A great game and still the physical disc on Xbox is hard to find for less than $20. If you're thinking about it, do it. It's arguably the best GTA.

  • Xbox support say there is currently a known issue with purchasing games if you’re getting an error.

      Should've gone to specsavers…

I looked over everything, cant see anything i missed

    • $1.94 here.

-Signed in Microsoft account a non valid region?
      - Try a different browser?
      - Using a VPN set to another country?

      • It's $1.94 until i go to complete transaction, then it's $9.47.

  • +1

Yeeeha. Good find. Can't go wrong for that price. Bought and downloading no probs. Thanks OP.

  • +1

Just grabbed for $1.94 as well.

Anyone know if there is any other games in the backward compatibility sale going cheap like this one?

    • If you go onto the store on your xbox you'll see a backwards compatibility sale area. Go into that and there's other games on sale too :) I don't think there's any as cheap as this though

    • Both Just Cause 2 and Deus Ex Human Revolution are $1.99 each.

  • +1

Great deal OP, $1.94 bought on Xbox

  • +1

    Cheers OP. Awesome find!

  • +1

    Cheers bought.

Unfamiliar with these backward compatible games, anything else needed to install/play em on the XB1?

    • Nope. Just download and play

      • +1

Was away from home and just checked box and its there. Thanks

  • +2

Awesome, worked for me no problems.

Been playing with my old school original Xbox disc, which is something fantastic in itself, but for under 2 bucks, why not? Cheers OP.

  • can't seem to checkout on xbox or the microsoft website

  • +4

If you somehow haven't played this before do it, it's brilliant. The music, the story, the side missions, the environment…

  • +1

Thanks. When i checked it out it was ~$10. Glad I held out.

  • +1

Great deal, picked it up myself, just an fyi though I believe it's a port of the mobile version. Works okay for me though, and for less than 2 bucks!

    • -1

It's a port of the original Xbox version

      • It is a port of the Mobile Game and not the original Xbox Version

    • That's not necessarily a bad thing as the mobile version was considered the best release of the game as far as graphics.

      • I don't think so. I think that was the PS2 version.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Time to relive the fun times cycling down mount chilliad!

  • +2

I've probably played though this game about 5 times on different consoles/PCs… Here we go again :)

    • It's the Rockstar way…

  • +1

Worked for me. Thanks! Also what’s the difference between this ‘ported from mobile’ version compared to the original Xbox version that came out on disc?

    • Better graphics, better controls, don't think there was really any bug fixes though.

  • +1

Bought for $1.94 no probs. Thx OP

  • +3

Does the deal come with two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda?

  • +1

    Thanks ordered with PayPal

  • +1

Showing as $12.96 now. Thankfully bought it at 1.94 last night though.

  • +2

If there was a game I’d love a HD remake of….

    • I know you mean well but it took them 5 years to make a completely new game. If the next game they make in 2023 is a remake, oh boy…

    • +1

For what it's worth the Xbox 360 remaster runs at 720p and has massively higher resolution textures than the original release of the game

  • +1

    The memories…
