Fair few OzB's have ordered during the 70% off sale (over two months ago) and majority have not received/partially received their purchases or even any notification of when they might. Pretty poor customer service.

Herringbone, which was essentially the same as Rhodes and Beckett, got one thing right and that was that they sold Crockett and Jones shoes - one of the best brands in the world. The rest of their stock however, just like R&B’s, was designed and priced at a point that sat somewhere between Uniqlo and high end designer and satisfied neither market as a result. With more designer brands opening up in Brisbane, they should’ve downsized and focussed on high end like Crockett and Jones and taken inspiration from that kind of style.
Sure R&B would’ve been good at 60% off, but no one can be sure what their quality’s like now and with service like this, who’d want to wait?

R&B was a great brand when they launched in Oz, but they slowly but surely went downhill. Now it is merely a shell company trading off a brands goodwill that was sold to the highest offer.
the discount price is the realistic price vs other branded suits
Note: in the last deal I managed to go in store and pick up a suit at the same discounted price (Melbourne). So I'd recommend doing that if you don't want to wait for shipping problems.
Suit quality itself seems decent, this was my first suit but it looked and felt better quality than it's counterparts (Yd, and such), albeit more expensive.

They said they were held up in the shopping. Are these guys just doing pre orders and filling containers now?
With the items I have received I’m not happy with the quality considering the original RRP for them.

Weird, based on what you are saying that should be a valid negative vote based on "Major issues with retailer" https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:voting_guidelines
If you scroll down on the voting guidelines it even specifies "Didn't receive previous purchase." or "Shipping time exceeding expected wait." fall under major issues and is a valid negative vote.
mods don't like too many negs floating around… usually pull them unless you have concrete black and white evidence and can show exactly which rules they are violating. even then can still just be they don't like what you have to say
Correct. The voting system on here is pointless and meaningless. Negs are just as important, if not more so, than positives. They alert the community of potential problems, but have the side effect of making people think and in this case, hesitate about their purchase. That, to a short term thinker, is bad for business and doesn't convey the right optics. In the short term, masses of idiots are more profitable than critical thinkers.
Agree, I'd skip this deal if I were you guys, I'm still waiting for a full refund to be issued. Their brand is definitely no longer what they used to be…
I had $750 worth of orders from the first 70% off sale. Waited 2 months, 4 emails, decided to request a cancellation of my order and full refund, received the full refund.
Main reason I wanted to cancel was the delay, but also a progressively building doubt of the quality of the the product that I may receive.
Anyone else notice they pulled their Facebook page down??
Terrible company by the looks of it. My suit ordered in June/July is yet to be shipped out.
Stay away from them online and buy from their stores if you really need to.
Was notified that 3 of my suits were coming this week and another at the end of the month. Received only 2 today but the slip says they packed 3 suits.
Quality was terrible - it was almost like someone else had worn them before and they refurbished them for sale and the fit wasn't the same as they put on the website. I Immediately asked them to cancel the other two suits and refund my money. Please be aware when purchasing online - i would go into store to look at them first.
I've emailed them 4 times now in two weeks… no replies.
Same! i had an order for 5 shirts around 6 weeks ago, received 3 of them as a partial shipment, said the other 2 were coming and still nothing. Have emailed twice in a week and nothing, no one picking up the phones and they have deleted their facebook page.
Scam artists.
There was an email sent out this week stating that their drop shipments for the last sale had been held up in customs this whole time and they were sending out orders this week and next.
They've been offering the option of a refund this entire time.
