I used a screenshot of jb @ $69 from launch day at Eb today and they were cool with it. My store is pretty good though. I know how some can be.

I'd almost rather buy at JB and price match the 69 price to spite their price rises, but I'd actually rather just not support their bullshit.
Also I got it from Gamesmen for just under 60, finally platinum'd it this morning. Fantastic game.
I'm not saying it's better than Spider-Man 2, too early to really tell, but it's by far the best one since Web of Shadows, my previous second favorite. Time, and the DLC, will tell if this game will trump the champ going on his 15th year as king, Spider-Man 2.

Years ago, yes. I got to 110 in the space of about 2 years, but have long since retired, haven't actively gone for a plat since about 2015.
I'm just a (profanity) die hard fan when it comes to Spidey games. Spider-Man 2 is still my equal favorite game of all time (tied with THPS 3 and Vice City since you didn't ask), and no game has topped it yet. Web of Shadows was a good second place, but this new one beats the living shit out of WoS.

There were some good deals for pre-ordering this which have obviously expired, but the best deal going at the moment is probably Amazon's $69 (w/ free shipping) combined with 12% cashback via ShopBack.
I got it from Amazon for under $57 and delivered on release date.
Yeah, I pre-ordered while it was still $62.70 and got 10% cashback, but unless people have a time machine, that information isn't going to do anyone much good now.

If people genuinely believe $79 is a good price for a game, it can show them significantly lower prices can be had.Also it helps when people clain you'll never get a release game on day one below x price. Knowing that release games can be got for lower prices means people will hopefully avoid pre ordering from places at higher prices.
