Never used to be able to beam to a tv etc but now u can etc.
No that is Foxtel Play. Foxtel Go is the app for normal Foxtel.
What's the difference between Go and Now?
Go is an app that comes with normal Foxtel s you can watch it on your phone. Now is a standalone Netflix like service that comes in over the internet.

I'd look at getting it IF I could cast it to my TV via my Chromecast in HD.
If I can't do that, it is a non-starter for me.
The normal box thing is of absolutely zero interest to me too, and I wouldn't want it.

This update happened last week. Stoked to be able to cast to tv. Saved me having to cat cable the house for foxtel.
HD on the ipad looks pretty good too
Edit - didnt realise that casting option was only for multiroom subscribers though.
I am sure I have used the old Foxtel App with Chromecast. Not a multiroom customer.
Got the update for my pixel 2 and my iPad and have HD finally but unable to cast to my Chromecast (not a multiroom customer) just wish they would update the PC program it's been needing an update for years and years!
Try going to http://watch.foxtel.com.au on Chrome (on computer) and you can cast the tab to your Chromecast

Neither did I, until I opened up the PC program and a message popped up saying that they're discontinuing support for the Foxtel Go desktop program and redirected me to that site.

Mine looks a bit ordinary. Data Usage is set at Auto (NBN speed here is good)

App is not supported in Windows anymore, you can use Chrome to get Foxtel GO in HD on a PC.
Chrome is only 720P
I understand that that actually constitutes HD, but its pretty embarrassing that in 2018 we can't get 1080P for bleeps sake!
You need to have the multi-room subscription for Fostel Go to be able to use Chromecast feature. Foxtel Now is still the cheaper option if you want Chromecast.

just tried this and it WORKS!! i had pocket pc attached on my second TV to use for foxtel go and now i dont need it as my tv has chromecast built in.
Is Foxtel go the app that's on TVs that is really crap?
