You need to hold the policy for 30 days. I guess you could cancel on the 31st day and still be eligible for the points. The cheapest Home and Contents policy for my place was $46 per month. YMMV. The code seems to work for home only or contents only policies too however T&Cs state Home & Contents policies only.

You must provide your Woolworths Rewards Card number at the time of purchase to receive Woolworths Rewards Points. 20,000 Woolworths Rewards Points will be credited to your Woolworths Rewards account up to 45 days after payment of your first monthly/annual premium. Offer conditional on holding this insurance for a minimum of 30 days and first premium payment received by Woolworths Insurance.

Offer applies to new policies only that are issued before 23:59 AEST on 30 September 2018 and cannot be used in conjunction with any other Home & Contents Insurance offer.

  Can we buy the policy for someone else's home ( Say a small 1 bedroom in the cheapest part of the country) so that premium is less and then once we get the points, cancel it?

  Avoid this promotion! I used this promo code to buy a home insurance in September. But the points did not come so far. I have called Woolies many times. The Woollies insurance department and rewards card department are kicking the ball to each other without providing any help!
