  • Seems it may start at 3PM AEST? http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/39791

    • Yep, confirmed by their Twitter account:

Are you ready for AirAsia X Massive Sale at 12PM (1 March, GMT +8)? Details here… http://bit.ly/h9koQQ so start planning! #AirAsia

  • nice, flights to london, 804 AUD return pp, not sure if that fully includes taxes or not…

still for a family of three is getting close to about as much for a single flight is normally.
    from Melbourne:
    199 melb to KL
    185 KL to Lond/paris
333 Lond to KL 285 Paris to KL
    87 KL to melb…
    AUD

  • Maybe update the link to this for AUD currency.

  • Are these available to book now? im trying to find something to Lond but cant find anything.

    • Never mind 3pm start :)

  • Seems everything is sold out or unavailable :(
Can't even login to my account without it timing out either.

  • not being very successful here.

  • Not sure what's going on. The one promo fare I was able to find between Melbourne and London is $547 OW, not the mentioned promo price of $385. Very misleading.

  • its idiotic… jst checked for the flights between melb to KL return and price $1523.00.. How does this SO CALLED SALE WORKS !!!

    • Exactly, just checked KL to London, $1200 RT on their promo price.

EDIT: Sorry that should be $600RT, still more than quoted

  • The only price I've been able to find that was similar to what they advertised was KL to Seoul for $86 and return for $137. But getting from Melbourne to KL and back is unavailable or sold out unless I pay $600-700!

  • According to the comments written on their facebook wall by the representative, the sale prices haven't gone up yet and the team is 'working on it' and to 'check back later'?

  • hmm! I originally was going bannanas over this deal when I saw how cheaply I could get to London from QLD. However putting the fares in normally I think has revealed its all pretty cheap anyways when its not PROMO. So I ask myself, is it worth saving 200$ to lose all flexibility???

Gold Coast to Paris via KL for ~ $430…seems good yes?

  • +2

wish they would start flying out of SYDNEY

  • MEL > KL > HK (Hong Kong) and return for $580, pretty cheap for ~$200 saving which can go towards spending.

  • ok im from sydney so if i went to mel then MEL to LONDON is $839 - One way, thats not that cheap for a sale - well its regular, theres no promo codes showing unless sold out?

    • You have to pick a date when the promo is on:
      e.g.:

Monday, 17 October 2011 - Melbourne (MEL) to London (STN) 479.00 AUD

      Cheapest going back is

Sunday, 13 November 2011 - London (STN) to Melbourne (MEL) 512.00 AUD

      991.00 AUD

Not as cheap as promoted but cheaper than the next cheapest
      Royal Brunei - $1763

EDIT: Also cheaper than 2 weeks ago
      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/39687
      $1313 MEL-STN

      • isn't the promo dates :13 September 2011 - 29 February 2012 by going by their website ..?

        • Yeah. What's the problem?

        • so if thats the promo dates, then why doesn't it show PROMO rates and just the regular ones then…

        • @prankster,

The exact phrase on their website is:

          All-in-fare from

So that price and up. Guess it covers them.

        • bugga, pretty hard to find the lowest price that they state on their website grr

  • Good deal

When will they fly from Syd?…..Missing all the cheap fares…..

    • just fly in and out of Gold Coast/Melbourne. You'll end up paying around $100-150 more on top, but should still be cheaper than anything direct out of Sydney.
Hint: dont forget Jetstar does price beat, so check Virgin Blue and Tiger for cheaper fares, call up and do a price beat, and you can even pay by credit card WITHOUT paying the extra $7! :)

      • interesting, i should try that

  • Got OOL-KUL one way few days ago for $189++, and just got KUL-MEL one way for ~$108++ for coming back. Fares are in Nov.
Now I just gotta figure out what to do for the 3 weeks in between… =/

    Booked my KL-London Leg.
They kill you with the extra fees. Keep in mind my trip is 1 month long and is for 2 people. $234 just in fees! Still works out to be $1198 RT Melb-London and I get to break up the trip in KL.

      • Oct and Nov

Leaving Mel Oct 15 to KL
        KL to STN Oct 18
STN to KL Nov nov 12
KL to ML on the 15th Nov

see its this type of dedication to sharing info that makes me like this site

  • all those fees plus conversion fee. "Convenience fee", more like inconvenience for us. They should just called it Credit card charge fee.

  • +2

Why these mofos no go to syd? :/

    • coz those mofos don't want to pay the $10 convenience fee that sydney airport imposes lol

      • So they should just add the $10 to the Sydney fares, and fly direct out of Sydney to KL. That would be far preferable to the time and cost and hassle of flying to MEL or OOL first, then flying onwards to Asia.
