Very good deal, box of Kirin lager beer is just $33 at Fuji mart Japanese grocery store in south yarra…Over the best before date(August 2018) but was still fine…there were like 30cases left so you must hurry up.

  I was under the impression selling expired stuff wasn't legal? Or is there some distinction made between stuff that may just taste bad (like say beer) and stuff may make you sick (say off milk)?

    It's not "expired".

    There is a difference between "use by" and "best by".

  Is it brewed in Japan, or under license? Beer companies put agressive best before dates to encourage higher stock turnover. I wouldn’t put this out for Christmas lunch, but it will be fine for another month or two.
