Worked, and emails arrived right away. Thanks OP

    • Just be careful because it mentions down the bottom that, once you hit REDEEM you have 2 minutes to redeem the offer, So make sure you're in-store and close to the register.

If its anything like the previous free Cheese, the actual barcode doesn't change.

In fact, if someone just post that barcode here, then we wouldn't need to bother with signing up etc.

        Edit.

        What barcodes are people getting?

        Same as this?

        • It says there’s a 2 minute limit. Is there a countdown timer?

        • Yup same barcode.

          @nightelves:

The way it works is that.

          1. You give them an email address.
          2. They send you an email with a redemption link.
          3. They tell you that only click the redemption link right before you check out in store.
          4. When you click on the link, you get to a page that ask you to confirm you are ready to check out.
          5. When you do, you get the barcode to scan. The webpage gives you a countdown timer of two minutes.
          6. Thing is, based on previous experiences with the Beqa Cheese @ Woolies, and Coke @ Coles, its only the one barcode and time fake.
          7. Now, they might have improved on the system etc. But its unlikely that they would have a system to generate a unique barcode on the fly, especially with a nation wide system such as theirs. Its doable, but I don't think there is much point unless us professionals here really abuses the system.
        • @garratt torlesse:

Thanks for clarifying. Missed put on the Bega cheese last time so not sure how it work.

        • Got the same code.

        • @nightelves:

Such an irritation. Their marketing team needs a reality check

  • Thanks OP. Worked.

Can you purchase more than one at a time for $1

    • +3

yep, tried on self machines and worked.

      • Also it shows $0.01 if you only scan the barcode and not the actual product.

        • -4

sure does. I just picked mine up and paid one cent.

@bohn: So you stole it. Well done.

          @sween64:

Actually, the barcode wouldn't scan, so I asked the checkout girl to put it through for me. She manually entered the barcode in and put the item in the bagged side of the checkout, and said there you go. I paid for my shopping, and that item was one cent.

          PS: dry those tears.

  • Thanks it worked. Picked it up from woolworths

I took a hint from an ozbargainer and just use generic domestos which is around $1.50 for 1.25l.

  • Anyone confirm VIC only?

  • Bought 2. Thanks

Worked instore Vic today. Thanks OP

Anyone tried this in other states?

  • Just went into Woolies and this wouldn't scan at the self checkout. The assistant took so long to try and manually enter it that the barcode expired. That was annoying.

    • +2

Barcode wouldn’t scan at self checkout, but staff entered it manually and worked for me. Maybe was a typo for you, as it’s a long number

      • +1

Mine didn’t either and it expired. Lucky I took a screenshot and staff at self checkout entered barcode in for me.

  • good price for $1.01 after using code

  • Bleach is cheaper. Just get a spray bottle.

    • Liquid bleach isn’t strong enough, the $1.50 blue bottles are the bomb.

  • =S No love for other states.

Good deal nonetheless, thanks for posting OP! =)

  • Thanks got it. Will try in a little while.

MIne also didn’t scan at self register even with brightness all the way up. Staff had to help. Lucky just got one and not a few. Mine expired when I was trying to scan it but I took a sceeenshot before it expired luckily.

Since the barcode is the same for everyone, here's a fake version for you. https://bencu.tk/whiteking

    • Thanks, i just used your link and it worked

    • Looks like it’s expired? Do you mind Re-uploading?

      • It's back up now

        • Cheers mate!

I didn't realise it was only for VIC. I went to Woolies in NSW and checkout person scalled the barcode but the price didn't change. The person was really great - they read the email, tried to make it work and finally just adjusted the price to 1 cent and gave it for free when nothing worked. I wished him OzBargain.
