  My advice is to use Youtube tutorials as it is easier and faster.

    I prefer books to read and learn what is possible. But agree, for specific things you're trying to work out youtube is the go-to.

    Or do the free Lynda.com subs available to most states via various libraries. Vastly superior up-to-date repository of infos with real time guided adjustments. Burned a lot of downtime on planes/trains while backpacking 4 months through the Balkans.

  So is the only way to download the free books from amazon is by joining the subscription model and then cancelling? Ive done this in the past for free books (that I never read) and ended up costing more like $45 bucks.
  Is there a way to just get the ebook without subscribing and then cancelling?

    Yeah instead of "read now with Kindle unlimited" press "buy now" for free and then use kindle cloud reader to read it.

    Kindle unlimited lets you read lots of books that aren't free kinda like a Netflix for books, I wouldn't pay for that unless you read a lot of books (at least 1-2 a day)
