Babies that have $1000 strollers grow up to be better people 🤔

Has to be right. I never got to ride in a good pram. Now look at me, I turned out to be a shite person.

We have a mountain buggy nano - has been to Europe twice, USA once and all over the country and has been fantastic. It was $370. Have taken it as carry on on every airline. Can't imagine the yo-yo being twice as good to justify the increase in price… But I've never had one…

    • Same thing why I purchased my nano yesterday from Baby village for $320. All reviews seems great and it's approved as carry on. The only thing i had reservations against is how high the hood sits against the handles when it's not open.

    • Yep, you're spot on.
We got the YoYo for our first-born (the Mountain Buggy Nano wasn't out at that stage).

For our twins who are now 6 months, we got the Mountain Buggy Nano (duo). Absolutely no difference from my perspective, very comparable. Only substantial difference is that the YoYo is easier to fold and comes with a little pouch.

Other than that, save your $$ and buy the Mountain Buggy Nano imo. Or, consider the Baby Jogger alternative that was recently posted here for $250 via Amazon.

    • This is from birth up to 18kg. The MB is from 6 months if I remember correctly. I believe the yoyo is much more narrow, which is important when manoeuvering in tight spaces. Also has more storage area.

      • I got one purely because we live 3rd floor and no lifts so it was one of the easiest to bring upstairs.

That said it’s seen a good deal of use at 2 months and the resale is strong on these so it’s not that bad of a cost.

I have this pram. It is quite compact when you fold it up. Being a first time parent as all parents you go nuts trying to compromise on a cheap, mid range or expensive. For all purposes this is considered mid range especially when you look at how much some of the more expensive ones cost. We got ours for about $750 from a baby expo. Effectively there's a lot to prams, and it's annoying, the thing we wanted was an all in one, new born, to infant range and this had the new born add-on so they can lay flat.

Having said that prams are very very dependent on a child, man if I had a choice I would not buy one and just literally take my baby to pram shopping instead of shopping before hand. We ended up not using ours much because a baby carrier was so much more convenient, but each to their own on that.

    • Yep, 750 baby expo or 800 including capsule adaptors.

  • We used a yoyo copy for a short trip to Melbourne and it worked quite well for $100 after code.

Looking on ebay, the same pram was listed from 120 to 200

Compared it to the real yoyo and was expecting it to be miles apart but it wasn't

    • Reckon you could find a link to share? (or remember sellers name) - I am curious at that price.

came the next day after ordering as well.

seems out of stock now but you can tell the other listings are the same pram

        • Awesome cheers. I'm looking at buying one decent pram but wouldn't mind a cheaper portable one for travel.

        • @sarahbrisbane: yep, we have a redsbaby jive and didn't want to bring it on a plane and have it damaged as I've seen too many stories.

ended up using the yoyo copy a fair bit since it's so portable

        • @sarahbrisbane: bremo down below also commented about yoyo copy

  • This was $750 at the baby fair in Melbourne on the weekend.

    • Did Redsbaby have any deals there?

      • Can't remember

    • Was this price including the bassinet? And were all colours available? And did they have stock availability or is there a wait time? Thanks in advance. Trying to be prepared for the Sydney baby fair this weekend. Haha

      • Should be $750 including bassinet. We got the airfrance pack for the same price as everything else.

      • $750 is with the bassinet.

        Without was $599.

They had some in stock but by the time I ordered my black/black they ran out, and said November delivery for no additional charge. They had some white frames left. All colours available for order.

We ordered without the bassinet and paying cash reduced the price to $575.

        • Thanks atlas. Hopefully they have the same deals running for the YOYO+ this weekend at the Sydney Baby and Toddler Expo.

        • @carva848: imo if you like the airfrance pack, the resale on it should be stronger than all the other colours.

  • Picked this up for $580 not too long ago. Just got baby bunting to pricebeat a store. Sorry excludes bassinet though…

  • First baby - most expensive pram on the planet
    .
    .
Fourth - McLaren from gummie, and/or umbrella from Taaarjey

Unless the YOYO+ is significantly improved from the YOYO - not a buy.

    35% rating on Choice
Passed key safety tests (AS/NZS 2088:2013) - false:

  • also for those in Sydney, the baby expo is on this weekend, you might be able to pick up a deal

I have a knock of yo-yo which cost around $120 from eBay and it has survived the wrath of my toddler. Folds up small enough to go into the overhead storage on a plane.

    • Yep, same.

Had no issues carrying it on to virgin domestic flight from syd to melbourne
