Bought these knives when on sale on Amazon. They are the best knives I think you could buy for under $100 by far.
Such great feedback and I completely agree! I recently purchased a set for myself and so far I'm really impressed with the value for money.
How does this compare to kiwi knives?
We've not had much experience with these knives, from what we hear they are great value for money. The only downside is the wooden handles will need to be maintained to prevent them from drying out. The ABS handles on the Wolstead require no maintenance and are just as sharp straight out the box.
Are they better than Victorinox?
The Wolstead Starkt and Victorinox are two very different products and as with most things it comes down to what you want to use them for. The Vitorinox is manufactured in Switzerland from Swedish steel, with a fibrox non slip food safe handle and is designed for use by professional chefs in commercial kitchens. The Wolstead Starkt are manufactured using German Steel with an ABS handle. This product is aimed for the everyday home cook. Whilst the Victorinox knives are great products, the value in the Wolstead Starkt block is amazing.
