IF YOU have made the commitment to go on a diet you may want to suspend that for a spell. Pizza Hut are about to give away 18,000 free pizzas across Australia.

To celebrate the company’s 60th birthday, the fast food chain is giving away 60 Large Pan Super Supreme pizzas across all of their stores across Australia. That’s 18,000 pizzas in total.

Why Pan Super Supreme you ask?

“Pizza Hut is famous for their delicious, crunchy deep pan base and the Super Supreme is the world’s most iconic Pizza featuring a mouth-watering combination of fresh vegetables and tasty meats,” explains a Pizza Hut spokesman.

This Wednesday and Thursday (September 26 and 27), the first 30 people to line up at any of Australia’s 292 Pizza Hut stores from midday will receive one of the pizzas free.

      I duno about that. Maybe 1-2 years ago, but my local Pizza Hut has moved to these really thin bases. When I order online now it defaults to deep pan, which is basically how their Traditional pan was a while ago, and Traditional is like Thin crust.. don't even want to see what Thin crust is like.

      Shame really because I did prefer Pizza Hut to Domino's. The quality of the toppings are better at Pizza Hut IMO though.

    They were/are just handing out pizzas at my store. I arrived and Walked in at 12:01 with 3 other people, got the boxes, walked out.

    Score. Went to the first store. Refused pizza with no meat.

    On the way back home, saw another store

    Asked for pizza with no meat ( vegetarian) and got it! Only one here.

    Pizza for lunch again tomorrow

    walked into my local store on way home .. showed them the advert on my phone and got a supreme … did not have to spend a cent.

    free food always tastes better … haha

    I might go back later and get another .. or perhaps tomorrow

    Thank you OP - was at bentleigh, not issues at all and delicious! Husband went to Prahran and they gave him thin and crispy and stopped the promo after 16 ppl!

      Out of all the stores, Bentleigh seems to be a favourite of ours.

    Was at Pizza Hut 232 Marrickville Rd, Marrickville NSW 2204
    Was told by the cashier, they do not have Deep Pan pizza, wait for 2 hours (to make the dough)
    So, I asked for a thin crust Super Supreme Large instead.
    She subsequently came back saying the manager said that I would have to buy one Pizza, then they will give one free.
    :(

    Docklands (Vic) was only giving out cheese pizzas. But they were freshly made and I'm not complaining about a free lunch! Was actually pretty good for such a plain pizza.

    Huntingdale (Oakleigh) isn't doing the promotion, apparently because they don't open at lunch time.

    Put up a sign with the area manager's number on it, and call the guy with any and all abuse.

    Rocked up to the south melbourne pizza hut at 11.35am guy said we could place the order straight away, 10 mins later had the pizza before 12 ;-) was only me and 1 other guy there, others started coming about 11.50am.

    Went to Hornsby on Thursday, about 15 people here and the guy working here was acting really rude and such. Firstly pretended that they were already handed out before 12, then miscounted and only wanted to make 11. In the end everyone got their pizzas as he got us to write our names down on a piece of paper, but was so much harder than it needed to be.

      That's rubbish, i'd probably write a complaint to head office. My store was super friendly and I reckon they handed out more than 30. They started taking orders at about 11:40 and heaps of people came through the doors. They were very happy and the pizzas were excellent. These are so much better than Domino's! Nice crisp base, loads of cheese, generous toppings. Stopped going to pizza hut because they don't have as many offers and had a perception that they were lower quality, but don't think that's the case anymore. This is a great promo for them, I think they will get some new customers out of it.

      Can confirm this happened. Nearly didn’t get my pizza despite being the 12th customer and arriving before 12pm because he was only prepared to make 11.
      In the end he was friendly enough but definitely could’ve been better handled.

    Well I just went through an existential crisis waiting at my local for a pizza for over an hour.

    The crew didn't seem to start preparing pizzas until around 12 pm so they gave tickets out when the store opened. I think all the free pizzas were snapped up in around 30 minutes. At some point I noticed one guy came in and didn't even go up to the counter, instead he stood next to the wall to browse on his phone, and only at the last minute when he saw people approach the counter did he go up and ask about the free pizza and he got ticket no. 30 — he was literally so lucky that the group before him didn't have one extra person. Then I think at some point he went up to the counter and complained to the guy serving. Sounded like he thought he should have got a pizza earlier, despite not even bothering to ask about them when he walked into the store..

    Pizza was nice though, deep pan super supreme.

        Was the Std base thin? I've noticed that in the past year (possibly longer) that their Traditional pans are much more thinner than they used to be. Shame really as I prefer Pizza Hut over Domino's. The Deep Pan at my local is only slightly thicker than Traditional used to be.

    Got to my local about 12:15 and it was dead. Asked for a free pizza, was told they sold out (sad face)
