Cleanskin McLaren Vale Shiraz $7.50 each for members. Or $45 for half a dozen (VIC)

10

From one of the worlds finest red wine regions comes this exquisite McLaren Vale Cleanskin Shiraz. Big and bold, this is a sensational wine.

Export deal gone wrong, so we got it cheap.

Labeled, this wine would usually retail for $30 a bottle. However, we're generous folk. So grab half a dozen for $50. Or become an ilikewine member and get 6 bottles for $45. That equates to $7.50 a bottle!

    Rep can you be a little clearer with 'Labeled, this wine would usually retail for $30 a bottle';

    Do you mean this is an actual $30 bottle of wine from a reputable winemaker with the label stripped due to the export deal? That's a bargain.

    Or do you mean that 'McLaren Vale Shiraz like this sells for $30 a bottle but it's a cleanskin ie grapes are sourced from the region but not made by a winemaker of note' - that's a gamble

    • Sorry about the delayed response.

      Yes this is an actual $30 bottle of wine from a very reputable McLaren Vale winemaker. The export deal failed because the wine was supposed to be packed in a typical, large shiraz bottle. However, the winemaker decided to pack it in a run of the mill wine bottle to save 50cents. Not a smart thing to do.

    "$7.50 each for members. Or $45 for half a dozen (VIC)"

    "So grab half a dozen for $50. Or become an ilikewine member and get 6 bottles for $45. That equates to $7.50 a bottle"

    so can we actually buy 7.50 a bottle or do we have to buy it in numbers of 6. its a really different concept.

    • Yes you can purchase a single bottle for $7.50 if you are a member. However you pay more in freight if you purchase in single lots.

      We recommend you purchase in lots of 6 bottles or more to minimize delivery charges.
