  • I haven't bought a ssd from the US before. If it breaks, do I need to ship it back to the US for warranty?

Its from AU store via eBay US account

      • Ahh roger

  • Cheapest so far .

As per your link back to previous deal, it isn’t the cheapest.

860evo 500gb is only $125 pickup at msy. Hardly worth the extra faffing about and risking eBay account issues.

    • For a product with a 5 year warranty, do you really want to purchase from a company that has been fined twice in the last handful of years for misleading customers about said warranty?
CA's website is selling them for $125 pickup as well, interestingly.

      • Same price at CPL.

Send it back to Samsung directly if you don't want to deal with MSY. I've RMA'd motherboards, CPUs and SSDs with manufacturers directly before. They're usually fine to deal with.

Also, MSY's fines are not for not honouring warranty, but rather misrepresenting the warranty. I'm a regular at my local MSY (I'm there basically every week), so I see the signs they put up which are absolutely false in terms of warranty.

That said, though, MSY's prices used to be much better than competitors, but I guess now that they've been forced to up their game with their after-sales service, their prices are basically the same as everywhere else. So if you don't like MSY, plenty of other stores do similar prices.

        • I thought it was hillarious when under the banner of the name you can trust logo was a government forced notification for deceptive conduct.

  • In the interest of cheapness, I just searched yesterday for cheapest 120GB MLC SSD I could find. Here she is.

US $22.83 shipped, so with CR -5%, ~AUD$32 shipped.

I got a Kingston 120gb for $30 shipped a few weeks ago. $32 for some Chinese brand isn't a good deal.

  • address change to us doesnt work anymore?

    • +1

nope… You need to create fresh US account

$211.65 for a 1TB from PCMeal (PICKSOON) https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-860-EVO-250GB-500GB-1TB-… free ship.

    • Post it as a deal! Too good to be lost in comments.

    • "This code can't be applied to your order (PICKSOON)"

      • Are you using eBay US?

    • Code expired?

  • 500GB is $125 at MSY if anybody was after that.
