  accessories are at a great price at the moment but the base food processor is still very expensive …. if you didn’t already own the food processor and you had plenty of spare cash guess you get everything in one go.

  anything that involves individual accessories will be pricey compared to a bundle due to cost of stock holding, packaging, invoicing etc.

  thing is breviile, sunbeam, cuisinart, etc give you many of these blades as standard, and this is a domestic machine.

  i know peole will say “ built to last” but most food domestic food processors have plastic bowls and lids and these break before the motors, especially if cleaned in dishwashers which makes plastic brittle over time due to the heat.

  commercial food processors have stainless steel bowls.

    Still on my original magimix bowls and my machine is, roughly, 10 years old. However, I don’t wash my bowls, or accessories in a dishwasher. I went through a number of breville food processors before my magimix and the magimix is worth the extra money. This is, probably, the appliance I use most in the kitchen. Given the current warranty on the motor is 30 years the odds are the bowls may well break first, however, probably dur to dropping them.
