$1 off In-App Purchases Over $4 @ Google Play

110

Found this deal whilst DENYING an in-app purchase. I think you have to press out of it to get this popup to actually process the deal.

The terms can be found here

Thanks @sss333 for a deal for items under $4 too

I get these offers often when I look at making in app purchases, have got $1 off >$1 spend in the past, always press back when when making an in app purchase via Google Play store to check.

The only in app purchase bargain, is one that is free. In app purchases are criminal IMO.

There are programmers trying to make a living. Apps don't magically appear on app stores.

Then they should just be upfront about the cost and make it a paid app on the store. In app purchases are just another micro transaction.

    • I am not a fan of IAPs. The way they operate can sometimes be morally questionable, especially in games that are targeted at children. Otherwise, they are a legitimate way of funding a developer's work.

Having said that, I have only ever made one in-app purchase. I remember being confused when somebody told me that she'd removed Candy Crush from her phone because it was costing her too much money. "Isn't it free?"

  • I posted this before, I think it is a regular promo but the dates change. It's not always available.

I didn't see this when I checked, should this post be taken down?

      • Your post helped me. Thanks.

Same, I must've missed the first post. Thanks OP

      • Let a mod decide. Might be good for people who don't know.

  • Purchases over $4 isn't correct. I got $1.00 off the $1.29 to remove advertisements on speedtest app.

Edit: first comment someone linked terms

    • I linked the terms to the offer I received!

The under $4 would be a different offer

      • Different offers, but overall if you're making any purchase over $1 it'll be worth pressing back and seeing if you get an offer. Don't want people missing out because they think it's only over $4 ;)

Note my offer specified this purchase rather than any $1+ purchase… But if you're about to purchase anyway it's a saving.
